As days went by, Taehyung still felt flashes of fear whenever Jungkook was near, though he tried his best to hide it. Jungkook noticed every time. The guilt weighed heavily on him, and he knew he had to do something special to reassure Taehyung of his love. He decided to plan a date—something memorable, where they could both relax and rekindle their bond.

One morning, Jungkook gently knocked on Taehyung’s bedroom door, carrying a warm smile and a small bouquet of Taehyung’s favorite flowers.

“Taehyung, would you go on a date with me today?” Jungkook asked, holding out the bouquet.

Taehyung blinked in surprise, his cheeks dusting pink. “A d-date?” he stammered, hesitantly taking the flowers from Jungkook’s hands.

“Yeah, I thought it might be nice for us to just spend some time together—away from everything,” Jungkook explained softly. “I want to make it up to you, Tae.”

Taehyung’s heart skipped a beat, and he nodded slowly, a shy smile forming on his lips. “I’d like that.”

Later that day, Jungkook led Taehyung to a secluded beach spot he had set up for them, complete with a picnic blanket, lanterns, and soft music. As the sun began to set, casting warm hues across the sky, Taehyung’s anxiety started to fade, replaced by a sense of calm and happiness he hadn’t felt in a while.

“This is... really beautiful, Jungkook,” Taehyung murmured as he gazed out at the ocean, the waves lapping gently against the shore.

“Not as beautiful as you,” Jungkook replied, grinning when he saw Taehyung blush.

“Stop,” Taehyung said, rolling his eyes but unable to hide his smile.

They spent hours laughing, talking, and sharing memories under the stars, with Jungkook doing his best to make Taehyung feel comfortable. Eventually, Jungkook reached for Taehyung’s hand, intertwining their fingers. Taehyung hesitated, but then he squeezed Jungkook’s hand back, feeling a warmth in his chest that reminded him of why he loved Jungkook.

At one point in the evening, a girl who had been walking by noticed them and approached with a bright smile directed at Jungkook.

“Hey, you look familiar!” she said, brushing her hair behind her ear as she flashed Jungkook a charming smile. “Have we met somewhere?”

Jungkook chuckled politely. “I don’t think so. Just here with my boyfriend.” He squeezed Taehyung’s hand to emphasize his point, but the girl seemed undeterred.

“Oh, just friends?” she asked, tilting her head and ignoring Taehyung entirely. “You’re way too cute to be single.”

Taehyung felt his chest tighten, and a surge of jealousy washed over him. He couldn’t help but glare slightly, feeling protective and a little insecure.

Jungkook noticed Taehyung’s reaction and decided to make things clear. “Actually, this is my boyfriend, Taehyung,” he said, pulling Taehyung a little closer to him. “We’re on a date.”

“Oh,” the girl responded, clearly surprised. “Well... enjoy your night,” she said with a forced smile before walking away, casting one last glance at Jungkook.
