Jungkook returned home after a long, confusing day. His thoughts were all over the place-especially after the incident with Jimin.

As he opened the door to his apartment, the soft clattering of dishes in the kitchen brought a small smile to his face.

Y/N was there, standing by the stove, cooking something, completely absorbed in what she was doing.

Quietly, Jungkook walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, pulling her into a gentle back hug.

He rested his chin on her shoulder, inhaling her familiar scent.

"Hey, baby," he whispered softly. "How are you?"

Y/N smiled, continuing to stir whatever she was cooking. "I'm fine. Just resting, you know? Watching TV, being lazy," she teased, leaning back into his embrace.

Jungkook sighed with relief, feeling some of the tension melt away. She was here, safe, and that was all that mattered. "I missed you today," he murmured, pressing a soft kiss on her neck.

Y/N giggled, turning her head slightly. "I missed you too, Kook. You seem tired."

He nodded, pulling back slightly to lift her onto the kitchen counter, making her sit in front of him. "A little," he admitted. "But something's been bothering me..."

Y/N raised an eyebrow, tilting her head. "What is it?"

Jungkook hesitated for a moment, looking into her eyes.

He didn't want to sound insecure, but Jimin's words were still nagging at him. "It's... it's about something Jimin said," he started carefully, trying to gauge her reaction.

Y/N's heart skipped a beat, but she kept her face calm, forcing a small smile. "What did he say?"

"Well..." Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck, looking a little awkward. "We were driving back from the studio, and he thought he saw someone who looked like you... at a cafe. With another guy." His voice was hesitant, unsure how she'd take it.

Y/N's breath caught for a second, but she quickly composed herself, chuckling nervously. "Me? At a cafe?" She shook her head. "I've been here all day, Kook. I didn't go anywhere."

Jungkook sighed with relief, smiling at her. "I told him that too. I told him it couldn't be you. But you know Jimin, once he gets an idea in his head..."

Y/N laughed softly, though inside, her heart was racing.

She remembered seeing them approaching the cafe, but thankfully, she'd left before they could figure it out. "Well, you can tell him next time that his eyesight isn't as good as he thinks," she joked, leaning forward to give Jungkook a quick peck on the lips.

"Yeah," Jungkook smiled, his insecurities finally fading as he wrapped his arms around her waist again. "You're right. It's just a misunderstanding. Sorry for even bringing it up."

Y/N smiled, though inside, her mind was spinning. What if they had seen her? What if Jimin had recognized her for sure? She had been so careful, but the close call made her stomach twist with anxiety.

"Anyway," Y/N said quickly, trying to shift the conversation. "What happened at the company? You were gone for quite a while."

Jungkook's face lit up, excitement replacing the worry. "Oh! We're working on a new album. I'm really excited about it. We were finalizing some of the songs today."

Y/N smiled genuinely this time, happy to see him so excited. "That's amazing, Kook. I can't wait to hear it. You must be working so hard."

Jungkook shrugged, looking a little shy at her praise. "Yeah, it's a lot of work, but it'll be worth it. I'll play you some of the demos later."
