A week had passed since that night-seven long, torturous days where Jungkook did nothing but think about Y/N and where she might be.

He had searched every corner of the city, every place they had ever been together, hoping to find her, but it was as if she had disappeared without a trace.

The more he couldn't find her, the heavier his heart grew with guilt and regret.

Every night, Jungkook lay awake, staring at the ceiling, his thoughts consumed by her absence.

The moments they had shared haunted him-the way she smiled, the warmth of her laughter, the softness of her touch.

He tried calling her again and again, but her phone was either off or she wasn't picking up. Each time, the silence on the other end was deafening, and it tore him apart.

He'd even reached out to Taehyung multiple times for help, but there was no news. "She'll come back when she's ready," Taehyung would say, trying to reassure him, but Jungkook wasn't so sure.

What if she didn't come back? What if she had decided to leave him for good? That thought terrified him more than anything else.

On the other hand, Y/N had thrown herself back into her work. She returned to the NIA headquarters with Minho, trying to immerse herself in her missions and responsibilities, hoping it would numb the pain of missing Jungkook.

But no matter how hard she tried to focus, there was always a part of her that was thinking about him-about the life she had walked away from, about the love she had lost.

Her interactions with Minho were minimal, despite him being the only person she could talk to. They spent time together, but it wasn't the same.

The once friendly, easygoing relationship they shared felt strained, weighed down by the heavy silence between them.

Minho noticed how quiet she had become, how she barely spoke unless it was about work. It was as if a part of her had shut down, and he knew it had everything to do with Jungkook.

One evening, after a long day at the headquarters, Y/N and Minho returned to her apartment. They sat in the living room, but the atmosphere was thick with unspoken emotions.

Minho glanced at Y/N, noticing the faraway look in her eyes as she stared at the window, lost in her thoughts.

"Y/N," he started gently, "you know you can talk to me, right? About anything. You've barely said a word all week."

Y/N blinked, snapping out of her daze. She looked over at Minho and forced a small smile. "I'm fine, Minho. Really. Just... tired, I guess."

But Minho wasn't convinced. He sighed, leaning forward slightly. "You miss him, don't you?"

At that, Y/N's smile faded, and she looked down at her hands. There was no point in denying it. Of course, she missed Jungkook.

She missed him so much it hurt. "Yeah," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I miss him. But I don't know if he'll ever forgive me."

Minho leaned back, crossing his arms. "You told him the truth, Y/N. If he can't see that you love him, that's on him, not you. You did your part."

Y/N nodded, though her heart didn't feel any lighter. She had replayed their argument in her mind countless times, wondering if there was something she could have said or done differently.

But every time, the outcome was the same. She had told him the truth, and he had pushed her away.

Minho stood up, walking to the kitchen. "Do you want some tea? You look like you could use something to relax."
