As the days passed, Y/N was busy planning her next mission. It was crucial—she had to take down the right-hand man of a dangerous criminal.
One evening, she called Minho, her trusted colleague, and asked for updates on their target.
"Any new leads?" she inquired.
Minho's voice was steady on the other end. "We figured something out. The man visits a club every Saturday evening. It's a secret; no one knows about it except us."
She listened closely as he continued, "The chief gave new instructions. You need to go there, undercover as a stripper. Seduce him, gain his trust, and lead him to our base location. But if anything goes wrong, you're authorized to take him out, quietly and without leaving a trace."
Y/N let out a deep breath, mentally preparing herself for the task. "Understood. This Saturday, then."
They discussed more details of the mission, refining the plan until every possible outcome was covered.
After going through the logistics, their conversation became more casual. Minho, being her close friend, asked, "You doing okay otherwise? This isn't easy, even for you."
Y/N gave a small smile, even though he couldn’t see her. "You know me, Minho. I’m fine. Just focused."
"Yeah, well, don’t forget to take care of yourself too," he reminded her with a soft tone.
Just as they were talking, her phone buzzed with a notification.
It was from Jungkook. "What are you doing? I miss you." She quickly glanced at it, her heart warming a little at his message.
"I need to go, Minho. Talk to you later," she said, wrapping up the call.
After hanging up, she started texting Jungkook back. "Just handling some work stuff. I miss you too." He replied almost immediately, teasing her with his playful flirting.
It wasn’t long before her phone buzzed again with an incoming FaceTime call from him.
When she answered, his face filled the screen, eyes sparkling as he smiled at her. "Hey, beautiful."
Y/N smiled back, "Hey yourself. How’s everything going there?"
He sighed dramatically, "Boring. I miss you. What are you up to?"
"Just... getting some work done," she said vaguely, trying not to let on about the mission. She didn’t want him to worry.
"Work, huh? Wish I was there to help," he smirked, his voice filled with his usual flirtatious charm. "Or maybe distract you."
She rolled her eyes but smiled, "You’re always a distraction."
They talked for a while, laughing and enjoying each other’s company through the screen.
Jungkook then asked, "So when do I get to see you again? I’m dying to come back."
Y/N hesitated for a second. She needed him to stay away for just a little longer so she could complete the mission. "It’s okay. Don’t rush back. Finish your work properly. I’ll be here when you get back."
His eyes softened as he leaned closer to the camera, "But I miss you."
"I miss you too," she replied honestly. "But work is work. We both have things to handle right now."
He nodded, understanding her reasoning, but his playful side wasn’t done. "Fine, but you better be ready for me when I get back."
Y/N laughed, "You’ll have my full attention."
