As Jungkook returned home that night, the apartment felt eerily quiet. He expected Y/N to be somewhere inside, but there was no sign of her.

His heart sank, and as he walked further into the living room, he felt a familiar tug on his wrist.

He froze for a moment, closing his eyes, trying to suppress the irritation building up inside him. It was Y/N, standing behind him, holding his hand gently.

"I can't live like this, Jungkook," she whispered, her voice trembling with the weight of her emotions. "I can't live where I feel disrespected, where you won't even give me a single chance to explain."

Jungkook's heart skipped a beat. He didn't turn around but stood there, listening in silence.

He didn't know what to say, or maybe he was too afraid to hear what she had to say.

His fists clenched at his sides as he struggled with the storm of feelings inside him.

Y/N, her voice cracking under the pressure, continued. "I admit... I lied to you about everything - my name, my profession, everything you accused me of. You were right." Her voice was soft but filled with sorrow. "But when I told you I loved you, that was never a lie. I meant every word."

Jungkook's heart ached at her words, but he remained still, his back to her.

He wanted to turn around, but his pride held him in place.

Y/N wiped away the tears that were forming in her eyes. "You broke through all the walls I had around my heart. I wasn't supposed to love anyone - it wasn't allowed, it was forbidden in my world. But you... you made me fall for you despite everything."

She paused, her voice quivering as she struggled to keep herself composed. "But now... I don't think things can ever go back to the way they were. You've hurt me in ways I never thought were possible. And I know I hurt you too... but you never even gave me a chance to make things right."

With a deep breath, Y/N walked around to face him, forcing him to meet her gaze.

She took his hand and placed a letter in it. Jungkook finally looked at her, his eyes filled with a mixture of confusion and pain, but he didn't speak.

"This letter," she said, her voice shaking as she pointed to the envelope in his hand, "it explains everything. How I ended up here, what I do... why things happened this way." She swallowed hard, her tears beginning to spill. "If you ever have time, read it. It'll tell you the truth you refused to hear from me."

Jungkook remained silent, his grip on the letter tightening as he continued listening, his expression unreadable.

"There's also something else," Y/N continued, her voice barely above a whisper now. "Your backup phone... it has recordings of every conversation I had with Minho about the mission. I never betrayed you, Jungkook. The mission was the only thing I kept from you."

Jungkook's gaze faltered, still unable to look directly into her eyes. He could feel her pain, but his anger and confusion clouded his mind.

Seeing his reaction, Y/N's heart broke a little more. She pulled something from her pocket and held it up in front of him.

It was her official ID card. "I'm not Lee Y/N," she said, her voice steady but filled with sadness. "My real name is Kim Y/N. I'm a top agent at the NIA."

Jungkook's eyes widened, staring at the ID card in disbelief. She wasn't lying. She really was an agent - everything she had told him about her mission was true.

Before he could say a word, Y/N took the ID card back, slipping it into her pocket with trembling hands.

"I just wanted you to know who I really am," she said quietly. "Not the person you thought I was. I'm sorry for everything, Jungkook... for all the lies, for everything I've done."
