Meredith and Addison were sitting at the table where the little blonde was happily playing with a rice sensory bin that the redhead made her. "Mama da wice wainbow an falls wike quicksand!" Meredith giggled as she picked up a handful of rice and opened her hand, letting it fall back into the bin. The front door opened, unbeknownst to the two who were fully immersed in what they were doing.
"Do you want to use the stick to mix it up into swirls again?" Addison asked, holding up a wooden skewer, which Meredith happily took with a nod. The little blonde poked her tongue out, her eyebrows furrowed, as she concentrated on what she was doing.
"She has all these toys yet you have her playing with rice?" Amelia teased as she, Charlotte, and Arizona entered the dining room.
"Auntie Melia!" Meredith dropped the wooden skewer and jumped up from the table, throwing herself into Amelia's arms. "Awe you stealin mama?"
"Yes, but I promise to return her." Amelia laughed and kissed Meredith's forehead.
"You betta!" Meredith said seriously. "Mewedif need mama."
"I know peanut, I wouldn't dream of taking mama away from you forever. She'll only be gone for a couple of hours." Amelia assured her.
"Otay, mwe twust you." Meredith smiled as she leaned over to reach for Arizona. "Mommy!"
"Hey sweet pea!" Arizona bounced Meredith on her hip and kissed her forehead. "How was your day?"
"Gweat! Mama make wainbow wice fo Mewedif ta play wif!" Meredith said excitedly. "Mommy safe lifes taday?"
"I did!" Arizona smiled. "But now I'm home and get to play with you!"
"An auntie Lottie?" Meredith asked as she smiled at Charlotte.
"And auntie Lottie." Arizona nodded and passed Meredith to Charlotte when the little blonde started making grabby hands for her.
"It's like a bunny train!" Addison joked as she stood up to kiss Arizona. "I'm going to go nurse her before I leave, dinner is in the fridge ready to go in the oven. I made lasagna, you just have to cook it."
"You didn't have to do that." Arizona sighed. "But thank you." She kissed Addison soundly before letting her go.
"Bunny helped me, didn't you bunny?" Addison kissed Meredith's forehead and ruffled her hair with a smile.
"Uh huh!" Meredith nodded. "Mama let Mewedif gweese da pan wif butta!"
"And you did an amazing job!" Addison praised. "Are you ready for milkies before mama goes out with auntie Melia?" She asked as she took Meredith out of Charlotte's arms, propping her up on her hip.
"Milkies!" Meredith cheered with a beaming smile as she wrapped her arms around Addison's neck. "Mewedif be back!" She waved at Arizona, Amelia, and Charlotte as Addison carried her towards the stairs.
"She's so cute!" Amelia squealed as Arizona put a top on the container filled with colored rice. "Seriously though, why is she playing with rice?"
"Addie saw a rainbow rice sensory bin on Pinterest and decided to make it for her. I woke up in the middle of the night to my wife missing and came downstairs to find her dying rice." Arizona explained while shaking her head with a fond chuckle. "They do a new activity everyday. She has turned into a Pinterest mama and Mer absolutely loves it."
"So she's not going crazy without working?" Charlotte asked, her eyes widened slightly in shock.
"She's a Pinterest mama, she's definitely going crazy without working." Amelia snorted.
