The storm

Man I really have to pee but I just don't want to get out of bed. I decided to scroll through my instagram feed. Not a whole lot on there just some celebrity postings was all my feed was today. I went and checked my texts.

Barry 🙄: Dani I really need to talk to you.

I'm sorry baby.

Please call me when you get up.

She meant nothing.

You mean everything.

I do want to keep you in my life please come and talk.

Rafe 🤙🏻: Good morning beautiful. The boats at the island club so if you want to go have breakfast before we go out.

Me: let me just get dressed see you soon ☺️

Rafe 🤙🏻: perfect I'll meet you downstairs.

I stood in my closet looking at all the different bathing suits I had. I stopped on a strong one that's pink and black. Then I grabbed my black sundress put it on and grabbed my sunhat. Then I put my black flip flops on. I walked downstairs running into wheezy.

"So you and Rafe are like a thing," she asked.

"It's complicated," I paused "but we're going on a date to see how things go."

"I mean I'm glad he found someone I like," she said laughing.

"It's not official," I said "the posts yesterday were just too kind of to get someone mad."

"Oh ok," she said "have fun on your date."

"Thank you," I said walking down the stairs.

I started to look for Rafe but I didn't see him in any of the rooms. I decided to walk outside and I didn't see him by his truck either. Rafe came out holding money which I assumed he got from his dad.

"So we've got a hurricane coming in and we've got to prepare," he said joining me outside.

"Oh shit," I said "what do you need me to do."

"Go find Rose or Sarah and ask them," he said "I've got to get something for my dad but you and I are going to have alone time later you promised."

"Okay hurry up then," I said going to look for someone.

I found Rose in the kitchen filling ziplocks with Ice.

"What do you need me to do," I asked.

"Well it's supposed to hit tonight," she said "will you fill all the bathtubs."

"What do you mean tonight did they have no warning did it come out of no where," I asked kind of yelling frantically at her.

"It's been followed for almost a week where have you been," she asked.

I scratched my head "um not paying attention I guess."

"You guys party too much," she said.

I laughed and made my way up to the guest bathroom and started the tub. Once it was filled I made my way to the bathroom between mine and Sarah's bedroom and filled that one up. Followed by Rafe's, then wheezy's and lastly Ward and Rose's. I went to find Rose and I couldn't but I bumped into Ward.

"Hey do you need any help," I asked him.

"No but Sarah's on the druthers if you want to see if she needs help," he said.
