The beginning

The next morning I woke up in Rafe's bed. Well shit that wasn't planned, but he was still there. He started to stir as I watched him so I pretended to sleep hoping he wouldn't wake up. Next thing I know he's pulling me into his chest.

"You know I know you're awake," he said with the sexiest sleepy voice I've ever heard.

I stayed quiet in hopes he would think he was wrong, but he probably saw my eyes before I shut them.

"The chainsaw stopped," he said laughing now "quit pretending to be asleep."

Oh this asshole. "Why do you have to talk about yourself like that."

"I'm not the one cutting trees in my sleep," he defended.

I took the pillow I was on and smacked him with it.

"Oh it's like that," he said taking the pillow and returning the smack.

"Oh it's on Mr. Cameron," I said snatching his pillow and jumping off the bed but not before getting another hit in.

"Oh is that right Ms. Diamond," he said and we began chasing each other around the room.

We were interrupted by a knock on his door. He opened it up and it was his dad.

"Rafe I need to speak with you. NOW," Ward said and didn't sound very happy.

I went to look for Sarah and she was swatting birds with her tennis racket. I decided to sit back and watch her while the yard workers were all cleaning up the debris from the storm. Topper and Kelce came over and took a walk with Rafe around the yard. That's when I noticed a little girl came up to Sarah and she made her way onto a boat in the water by a downed power line and everyone was yelling at her. I know she's got this until she screams and falls down making everyone panic. Topper starts to run towards her and she holds up a cut wire. Rafe and Kelce make their way over to me while Topper walks with wheezy.

"How are you doing today Dani," he asked me.

"Better than yesterday," I say with a smile "how about you Kelce."

"I'm great," he replied "but I need to get going."

"Okay see you later," I said to him.

"What do you wanna do today beautiful," Rafe asked me.

"Right now I just want to enjoy the outdoors," I told him.

"Well do you mind if I sit here," he asked me.

"I mind very much," I say giggling.

"Well that's too bad," he says smiling "you've got to deal with it."

"If I must," I say lying back in a lawn chair. Rafe did the same in the chair next to me and we were silent for a while. I noticed Sarah and Topper looked like they were arguing until she walked away. Oh no what'd he do now. Ward was helping the yard workers and Topper walked over to Ward and he looked super concerned during their conversation. Then topper just left. What is that boy up too.

"Rafe," I said and he immediately looked at me "I'm gonna go find your sister. I don't think that conversation was pleasant."

"Okay. Find me later," he said "I want to hang out today."

"So needy," I said laughing.

"Fine. Don't find me," he said teasing me.

"See you later Rafe," I said heading up the stairs to Sarah's room. She looked very upset so I went to stand beside her.

"Go away Topper," she yelled not looking up.

"First of all," I snapped "I am wayyy better looking than Topper."
