The Midsummers Party

"Dani," Wheezy came yelling up the stairs the next morning "Sarah doesn't want to go to midsummers."

I wake up still trying to process what she was even talking about. Rafe started to stir also and he looked at me like he was confused too.

"Dani," she yelled again making me get out of bed.

I opened the bedroom door and she was standing in front of mine knocking on it.

"Um wheezy wrong door," I giggled and she turned around shocked as could be.

"Um that's um," she stuttered "Sarah doesn't want to go to midsummers says she's done with Topper. If she's not going I'm not so I need you to talk to her."

I laughed "um she better be. It's mine and Rafe's first public appearance together."

"Wait it's official now," wheezy clapped and I laughed again.

"Yes wheez," I said laughing "I'll talk to Sarah."

I walked downstairs as Ward was walking out of the kitchen.

"Did you talk some sense into her or do I have to drag her upstairs and make her get ready with me," I asked laughing.

"I talked to her. Is Rafe up yet," he asked "don't think I don't notice you've been in his room. Better be behaving in there I don't need any grandkids right now."

"He was up now I don't know if he fell back asleep," I said laughing "trust me Mr.Cameron he and I haven't done anything. I definitely don't need kids right now."

Which sends me into an all out panic because I haven't gotten my period and I normally get it around this time. It's also been almost a week since Barry and I...

I walk into the room with Sarah and she looks at me with sad eyes.

"Looks like we need girl talk," I said "let's go talk and get ready."

We got ready and I told her I needed a pregnancy test like asap. She vented to me about how she is just not feeling Topper anymore and she's into this new guy but she can't tell me who because she doesn't want Topper to know. Rafe and Topper are close so if I tell Rafe he might tell him. By the time we were done everyone was already waiting to leave.

I smiled "Sarah you did this on purpose."

"What put you and Rafe in matching outfits," she said giggling.

"I thought I looked good," he said smiling while he looked me up and down.

"You really did good Sarah," Rose said "glad you decided to join us as well."

"She put me in this dress she was going to be there to dance with me in it," I said laughing.

"Save some dances for me," Rafe pouted.

"Well duh," I said hugging him.

"So what's going on," Rose asked.

"We're dating," Rafe said happily "I finally convinced her to be my girlfriend."

"Well Dani," Ward said "if he was going to be with anyone I'm glad it's you. You were raised by some of the most amazing people. Now Rafe I am responsible for her and she's like a second daughter to me. I also like her a little bit more than I do you sometimes so you better not hurt her."

"Honestly Mr. Cameron," I started "you raised an absolutely amazing son. I know we all know about his questionable encounters sneaking out of here, but the night I drank too much at a party he was a perfect gentleman. I even got him to hold my hair while I puked."
