The test

At Peterkins funeral we were stared at the whole time. I guess there's been talk from the pogues that Rafe did it. Then when it was time to leave they made a scene calling Rafe a murder. We all just had to walk away and act normal. When we got home there was a package delivered. Rafe absolutely smiled.

"Okay baby don't go by my bike I'm working on something for you," he said heading over to the package.

"Okay can I take the truck into town," I asked "I need to go to the store."

He handed me the keys "have fun baby."

I took the keys and headed to the store. When I went inside Kie was in there so I just had to avoid eye contact but somehow she still saw me. I had to act like I wasn't in front of the pregnancy test and was looking for tampons.

"Look I know you're Sarah's best friend," she said pausing "and you're dating her brother, but we know what he did. If you need somewhere to go you can stay with us. Or even at John B's now."

I laughed at her "honey my fiancé doesn't scare me. Sarah was my best friend and you all got her killed. Over some stupid treasure hunt. You all got her mixed up in some bad shit and now you're what trying to save me?! I'm not the one who needs saving."

She rolled her eyes and stormed out the front door. I grabbed a pregnancy test and went to the front counter. I walked back outside to the truck and everything went black.

Rafe pov

How long does it take to go to the store? She's been gone for hours it's getting dark. I started looking all over the house she was no where to be found and the truck wasn't outside. I found Rose and my dad arguing in his study.

"Have you seen Dani," I asked them "she left a few hours ago to the store and didn't make it back. She has my truck."

"No she probably took off," Rose said making me clench my fists.

"My fiancé wouldn't just leave," I yelled at her.

"Hey now calm down," Ward said "I'm about to go meet someone and I'll look for her."

"I am calm but I don't like accusations," I said "especially about my fucking fiancé."

"Woah," Ward said "when did that happen?"

"Last night," I said "she's stuck by me through this. That girl is my world."

My dad smiled "Son I'm proud of you, but if she hasn't come home from the store then I think she ran."

I punched a wall "my fiancé didn't leave me. Something is wrong and I'm going to find her."

"Okay calm down I'll look for her," my dad said and took the black bag he had on his deck before leaving.

I stormed out and got on my bike which parked next to the one I just finished for her. I took off to the store and the truck was still in the parking lot. I opened the driver door and the keys and a pregnancy test was in the seat. Shit. I called my dad.

"Hey son I need your help," he said when he answered "come to the house."

"I found the truck and I need your help," I said "something happened because she's not here."

"Rafe it's going to have to wait I need you at the house NOW," he yelled.

"Yes sir," I said heading home.
