I don't regret what I've done, I regret not knowing it sooner.

Augustina Melgren

Augustina POV

I was standing in front of him, the man that helped me find my answers, I was quickly shocked when I found out Fen Riorson, the main characters father, was the one that helped me, Ef. Seeing him in front of me, like this. Hugging his son farewell, made me sick. "Thank you" he bowed his head after offering me a smile.

"I'm sorry, but this is all we could do" I said, not offering him a smile.

"We'd like to say thank you for giving us the opportunity to say goodbye to our families" He offered.

"We didn't do anything," Jake said looking at the sky "we just don't like it when people deathwishes without being informed." I could feel him glaring at me. Mingyu elbows him. Fen chuckles.

"Who are these kids, father?" the 17 year old Riorson asks. Fen was going to open his mouth to speak until I cut in.

"We're not important, what's important is that you get to say your last goodbyes" I looked at Fen and he smiles. "Thank you," I bowed my head down to him "may your souls be commended to Malek"

I turned around and a hand caught my left wrist, it was a woman with tears in her eyes "Thank you". I looked towards other people who were all crying seeing their families. "Thank you will not change the fact that my father won't execute you all" I said, removing my left hand gently from hers. The parents were all happy to say their goodbyes but their children despised us. As 15 minutes were over they continued with the execution and started marking the kids.

When it was all over, Jake and I walked passed them, being sent to their foster homes.

"You think, that we would spare your lives, just because you did that for us?" I heard a voice from behind me, I turned and it was a girl with pink hair, ahhh this must be Imogen. She was standing chained with three other boys, of course the boy I saw earlier Xaden, Bodhi who looks just like him and Garrick.

"We don't need you to spare our lives, we can do it ourselves" Jake grabs my hand, signaling us to leave. I turned to leave and the next thing she says got me off guard.

"You all don't have a heart, you're all monsters"

That's it. I reached for the nearest soldiers dagger and threw it towards her causing it to cut little bits of her hair.

"Tina" Jake shouted.

"Monster, huh? Why not wait for me in the riders quadrant and I'll let you see what kinda monster I have in store for you" I said while grinning.

She looked traumatized like she saw a ghost. Xaden and Garrick held on to her while the guy who looked like Xaden, whose name is Bodhi, stares at me with a dark expression. Jake took me away. Walking towards the carriage.

"That was badass, but if you're gonna die when we haven't even gone home yet, then it'll be on you sister, not me" Jake pushes me in the carriage.

"Look, I was trynna prove a point, kids are not to blame for their parents mistake" I said, folding my arms.

"Their not our parents Tina, you're thinking too much on it" he snaps.

"Yea-"

"I don't want to hear it" Jake puts his finger on my lips.

He's right, maybe I'm being too overdramatic. We arrived home and we were sent to talk to the General. Who was outside with his dragon. He brought the dragon along, what a menace, I thought to myself.
