THIRTY ONE. 🔥
You were lying in Fyodor's bed, still hesitant to return home after everything that had happened. The soft sheets felt comforting against your skin, and the lingering scent of him surrounded you, wrapping you in warmth. You stretched your wings, the soft feathers brushing against the fabric of the bed. A yawn escaped your lips as you rubbed your eyes, slowly waking up to the dim light of the room.
The stillness of the night was peaceful, a welcome respite from the chaos that had become your life lately. As you settled back into the pillows, your phone buzzed beside you, breaking the silence. You glanced at the screen, a familiar name lighting up: Nikolai.
"Boo," the message read, and a small smile tugged at your lips. It was classic Nikolai, always looking to provoke a reaction. You contemplated responding but hesitated, your mind wandering to what Fyodor might be doing.
Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted. A cold pair of gloves suddenly covered your mouth from behind, the familiar scent of Nikolai invading your senses. Your heart raced as confusion washed over you, followed by a twinge of fear that you hadn't felt in ages—or was it something else entirely?
"N—Nikolai..." you managed to mutter, your voice strained and muffled.
"Don't call me that anymore, dove," he whispered, his breath brushing against your neck, sending shivers down your spine. "You have a nickname for me, remember?"
The way he spoke sent a jolt of something through you—was it fear or arousal? You weren't entirely sure. It was hard to think straight with him so close, his presence overwhelming yet intoxicating. Your instincts kicked in, and despite the dread creeping up your spine, you obeyed his order. "K—Kolya..." you mumbled, your vision blurring slightly from the sudden rush of adrenaline and the constriction of your breath.
"That's right," he giggled softly, his finger tracing down your neck, leaving a trail of goosebumps in its wake. "I missed that. I had enough of Claire's stupid whining. Why don't I let her know that nickname is only for you to use, hmm?" His voice dripped with possessiveness as he continued, "She keeps calling me that, and it's annoying."
Before you could respond, the world around you began to fade. Your eyelids grew heavy, and the warmth of his body was the last thing you felt as consciousness slipped away, leaving only darkness.
When you came to, the dim light of the room slowly came into focus. You were no longer in Fyodor's bed; instead, you found yourself in a small, unfamiliar space. Panic surged within you, your heart racing as you tried to gather your bearings. The smell of Nikolai lingered in the air, mingled with something sharp and metallic.
"Kolya?" you called out, your voice sounding small and fragile in the silence. The memory of his presence, the way he had made you feel, flooded your mind. Was he playing a game, or had this taken a darker turn?
