THIRTY SEVEN

Sigma groaned, running his hand through his hair in frustration. "Okay, seriously, where do you want it to be hosted?" he asked again, this time with more emphasis, clearly trying to get some kind of answer out of Nikolai, who was seemingly lost in his own world.

Nikolai, on the other hand, was lazily swaying his feet, lounging in a chair like he had all the time in the world. "Hmm, well," he hummed, tapping his chin dramatically. "Maybe we should have it in a castle. You know, something dramatic. The kind of place where I can make a grand entrance, like I'm some kind of king."

Sigma stared at him, utterly deadpan. "A castle? For Y/N's wedding? Are you serious?" He couldn't believe they were having this conversation. Of course, it was Nikolai, so the answer was already clear.

Nikolai grinned mischievously. "Why not? It's not every day you get to plan a wedding, and I want it to be memorable. Maybe with some fireworks, a live band, and a dramatic speech—oh, and a trapdoor. I feel like I should make an entrance through a trapdoor. It'd be very... mysterious."

Sigma rubbed his temples. "And what about the actual wedding part? You know, the vows, the ceremony? You're focusing too much on the show."

"Of course, I am," Nikolai replied nonchalantly, "because that's what everyone remembers. The entrance." He leaned back in his chair, his hands behind his head as if he was already imagining it in his mind. "The vows can happen later, but that moment—that moment is what'll stick."

Sigma Sighed. "Nikolai, you're forgetting one very important thing," he said, his tone cool and almost amused. "You can't just have a wedding based on you."

Nikolai blinked at Sigma, a little surprised by the interruption. "Oh? And why not?" he asked, his voice still light.

"Because it's not about you," Sigma replied, raising an eyebrow. "It's about Y/N, and the baby. You have to at least pretend you care about her opinion in this matter."

Sigma stifled a snicker. "Yeah, you know, the whole 'getting married to the love of your life' thing? That's the focus, not just your dramatic flair."

Nikolai's face twisted into a playful pout. "I do care about Y/N's opinion!" he protested. "I mean, she can wear whatever dress she wants, and I'll wear whatever ridiculous outfit she picks for me, but the wedding itself—come on, it's gotta have flair. It has to be unforgettable."

Sigma shook his head but couldn't help the chuckle that escaped him. "Unforgettable, sure. But how about something more grounded? Something not so... Nikolai-ish?"

Nikolai thought for a moment, then shrugged. "Fine. Maybe... somewhere in nature, then?" he suggested, still with his signature grin. "A big forest clearing, surrounded by trees. We can set up candles, make it magical."

Sigma stared at him, incredulous. "So, now we're doing nature? You want to hold the wedding in the middle of a forest like it's some fairytale?"

Nikolai gave a sly smile. "Why not? Y/N will look beautiful no matter where it is. Plus, it's unique."

Sigma sighed. "Well, you're going to have to talk to Y/N about that, because the last time I checked, she wasn't into random forest weddings." He rubbed his face, clearly exhausted by the entire conversation. "We're gonna need to compromise on this. I'm not going to let you turn her wedding into a circus."

Nikolai leaned forward, eyes sparkling with mischief. "A circus, you say? That's not a bad idea! We could have acrobats—"

"Absolutely not," Sigma cut him off quickly, his tone final. "No circus, no acrobats, no... whatever you were thinking. Let's try something a little more elegant. I'm begging you, Nikolai, for once in your life, can we just have a normal wedding?"
