After wrapping up Karishma's shopping, the group finally moved on to Haseena's turn for her bridal lehenga. Ammi, looking a bit tired, asked the salesman, "Hume baithne ke liye chair denge aap?"
The man nodded and left, but Karishma immediately turned toward Ammi with concern. "Kya hua, Ammi? Sab theek hai ya aapki tabiyat theek nahi lag rahi?"
Ammi chuckled, waving her hand dismissively. "Hume kya hoga? Bas Haseena jab lehenga choose karegi, toh bahut waqt legi. Isliye hum pehle se aaraam kar rahe hain," she taunted.
"Ammiii..." Haseena called out, her tone laced with annoyance, while the others giggled at the light teasing.
Ammi wasn't done. "Hum kehte hain tum sab bhi baith jao, Haseena ko toh waqt lagega hi," she continued with a teasing grin. Haseena frowned in response, and Karishma, unsure of what to say, simply nodded and followed her irritated fiancée to help choose a lehenga.
As they browsed through various options, Karishma seemed far more determined and focused than Haseena, who was just enjoying watching her partner take the task so seriously.
"Tch, tch," Karishma critiqued yet another lehenga, rejecting it with a frustrated sigh. "Yeh Haseena ke layak nahi hai, aur yeh color bhi... nahi chalega!" She shook her head, unsatisfied with every piece the salesman presented.
Haseena looked at the piles of rejected clothes in disbelief. "Karishma, aap ye sab reject kar rahi hain? Yeh toh accha hai, dekhiye," she said, shocked.
"Nahi Jaana, yeh bahut light color hai. Aur yeh... yeh heavy hai, aapko chalne mein mushkil hoga," Karishma explained, pointing at each lehenga with precision. The salesman brought out more options, but Karishma's standards were high.
Ammi, watching the entire ordeal, sighed dramatically. "Hume laga tha Haseena time legi, lekin lagta hai iska asar Karishma pe ho raha hai," she said, shaking her head.
"Sagai parso hi hai, toh tum dono ko aaj hi lehenga pasand karna hai, agli tareekh nahi humare paas," Ammi remarked, sounding both amused and a little exasperated.
Ignoring the playful commentary, KareEna finally agreed on three different lehengas.
"Hum yeh try karke aate hai," Haseena said, taking the lehengas to the trial room.
Karishma waited, a flutter of anticipation in her chest, imagining how beautiful Haseena would look, lost in her thoughts of the moment when she'd see her in the dress. But when Haseena returned holding the lehengas, still in her casual outfit, Karishma's heart sank.
"Yeh wala pack kijiye," Haseena instructed the salesman, handing him one of the lehengas.
"Arey, aise kaise? Hume dekhna tha na aapko lehenge mein," Karishma said, sounding almost desperate.
"Haan toh sagai ke din dekh lijiye, Daroga ji," Naina teased with a smile, as everyone around looked at Karishma. Embarrassed, Karishma lowered her eyes, covering her face with her palms to hide the growing blush. Haseena just looked at her with a soft, dimpled smile.
After settling the bill—following a small, playful argument between Ammi and Pushpa Ji about who would pay—the group moved on. The mothers, excited for the wedding, decided to split the cost, leaving KareEna out of the conversation entirely. They had no choice but to stay quiet, knowing the enthusiasm of their elders far exceeded their own at this point.
As they wrapped up the ladies' shopping, they even remembered to buy a beautiful saree for the Robo girl. However, the men's shopping still remained, particularly for Cheeta and Billu, as well as some return gifts Ammi and Pushpa Ji wanted to pick up for the guests. For this, they headed to the mall.
