A shadow draped over the dark room where Kim Seokjin sat at his massive oak desk, his broad shoulders tense, and his gelled black hair pushed back to reveal a forehead beaded with sweat. His chest heaved with each breath, anger rolling off him in waves, his sharp eyes like those of a wolf, prowling for the kill. Every muscle in his body was rigid with barely contained fury, the type of rage that could tear through anyone who dared cross him. His fingers curled into fists, knuckles whitening, as he glared at Min Yoongi, his right-hand man.
Yoongi stood across from him, silent, his shorter stature and pale skin contrasting sharply with Seokjin’s intimidating presence. Yet despite the difference in size, Yoongi’s eyes held a quiet power of their own.- cold, calculating, and always watching, like a predator ready to strike when necessary. Even as Seokjin yelled, Yoongi’s expression remained calm, though he knew better than to speak until Seokjin allowed it.
“How could this happen, Yoongi? How could they be so careless?” Seokjin spat, his voice deep and gravelly, reverberating off the walls. He rose from his seat, towering over Yoongi, the light casting sharp shadows across his face. His fingers flexed with the desire to crush something, to unleash the storm inside him.
The room was dim, the only light coming from a single lamp on the desk. Outside, in the midnight, the city slept unaware, but inside, Seokjin’s world was on the brink of chaos. Soobin, his most trusted lieutenant, was dead. A man who was more family than friend, was killed while managing a critical drug deal worth 10 billion Won. Seokjin’s other man, Huening Kai, had been arrested, and the consignment, his lifeline to dominance, was now in the hands of the police.
Seokjin’s nostrils flared, his fists pounding the desk as he barked orders, “Beomgyu! Find out who did this! I want to know the face of the man who dares to think they can strike at me!” His voice was a low growl, each word thick with rage. “And Yoongi, keep this away from Raejin. I don’t want him knowing. Not yet.”
Yoongi gave a curt nod. “Understood.” His voice was even, careful. He knew when to speak and when to remain silent. In this moment, silence was survival. Seokjin’s wrath was dangerous, and Yoongi had seen what happened to those who were reckless around him.
Seokjin turned away, pacing the room like a caged animal. “I don’t want him involved. He’s too... soft about family and friends. He has a good life, and he deserves to keep it that way.” His voice dropped, filled with an unexpected hint of protectiveness as he spoke of his twin brother, Raejin, the psychology professor who choose to live in the world of light, far from the shadows of Seokjin’s empire. But if he found out about Soobin, he will involve, that Seokjin knew.
Just then, Beomgyu entered the room, his face pale as he approached the mafia king. He bowed slightly, nervous to deliver the news. “Boss, we’ve found him. It’s… JK”
Seokjin stilled, his entire body stiffening at the mention of the name. Slowly, he turned toward Beomgyu, his eyes dark and dangerous. “JK?” he repeated, his voice soft but filled with deadly intent. “that Rookie, who just landed in our market?”
Beomgyu nodded.
A wicked smile curled on Seokjin’s lips, cold and devoid of any warmth. “Then I will deal with him myself.”

“What the fuck were you thinking, Yeonjun?” Jeon Jungkook’s voice echoed through the room, commanding and fierce. His muscular frame loomed over Yeonjun, veins popping in his tattooed arms, one of which was inked with intricate designs that climbed from his wrist to his shoulder. His black hair was slightly disheveled, and a silver ring gleamed in his lower lip as he sneered down at the cowering man.
