Jungkook's phone buzzed, and as soon as Raejin's name appeared on the screen, his heart skipped a beat. He swiped open the message and read it:
"Can we meet? I’ve been missing you."
Without a second thought, Jungkook typed back a quick reply: "Of course." His fingers lingered on the screen, his heart pounding harder with every second. He didn’t know why he was rushing, why the need to be with Raejin consumed him so intensely. But he knew the reason deep down.
He was in love.
Jungkook left without telling anyone, slipping out the back to avoid questions. The ride to Raejin's university felt endless, but once he saw Raejin waiting, standing there casually by the lot, his heart lightened.
"Park your bike here," Raejin said with a soft smile. "We’ll take my car."
Jungkook looked at Raejin for a brief moment, feeling the warmth that came from just being near him. Then, almost in a whisper, he muttered, "I love you, Jin."
Raejin chuckled softly, brushing a hand across Jungkook's shoulder in a playful gesture. "What happened to you today? being so romantic."
"Love," Jungkook replied simply, his gaze unwavering.
Raejin smiled, shaking his head before moving towards the car, and Jungkook followed without hesitation. They drove in peaceful silence, Raejin occasionally glancing at him with amusement. The road led them to a secluded villa, hidden away from the world, bathed in the soft pink hues of the setting sun.
"It’s a friend’s villa," Raejin explained as they walked in, his voice relaxed. "I’ve been wanting to bring you here for a while."
Jungkook smiled, taking in the beautiful surroundings. The villa radiated a quiet, romantic charm, the soft pink shades of the evening sky reflecting in the windows, casting a dreamy light over everything.
They found themselves wrapped in the warmth of the villa’s cozy atmosphere. Jungkook couldn’t take his eyes off Raejin. There was something so delicate about him tonight, the way the light caressed his face, the way he smiled.
Jungkook leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss on Raejin's lips, softer than usual, as though he were holding something precious and fragile. Raejin responded with a smile, his soft giggles filling the quiet space between them.
Their evening was tender and full of love, the world outside forgotten. Jungkook couldn't stop touching him, as if fearing that any moment apart might be too long. The kisses they shared were slow, gentle, and filled with emotion. With every touch, every kiss, Jungkook repeated, “I love you”
Raejin chuckled between kisses, his smile bright but his voice teasing, “Are you sure you’re okay tonight? You’re being extra sweet.”
Jungkook smiled faintly, but something stirred in his chest. He was holding Raejin close, but a deep fear lurked within him. “Jin, I want to run away,” he whispered softly, pulling Raejin even closer.
Raejin, confused, pulled back slightly, squinting at him. “Run away? Where? Why?”
Jungkook’s eyes searched Raejin’s face, as if he were looking for some kind of safety in his gaze. “I want to stop this black business and live somewhere peaceful... with you. Just us.”
Raejin’s eyes widened in surprise, then he chuckled, though his voice was tinged with concern. “What are you talking about, Kook?”
But Jungkook wasn’t joking. He gently held Raejin’s hand, his voice trembling as he continued, “I’m serious, Jin. I want to leave everything behind. Will you come with me?”
