“Why the fuck is Taehyung here?” Seokjin yelled, his voice echoing off the concrete walls. His hands clenched into fists, barely containing his frustration as he turned to face Raejin.

Raejin met his gaze, his expression unreadable but his eyes dark and intense. “Didn’t I tell you to stop dating him? You’re putting him in danger,” he replied coldly.

“But he knows nothing, Jin!” Seokjin’s voice cracked with desperation. “Please… keep him out of this. Keep him away from the plan.”

Raejin’s jaw tightened, his stare unwavering. “Well, he knows more than he should, and today, he almost exposed us,” Raejin shot back, his voice harsh. “It’s not just about you anymore, Seokjin. Keeping him around is now a risk, not only to you but to every Howler. Even our fathers.”

Seokjin winced, biting back his words as Raejin continued, his voice cutting like a blade. “Hope you won’t do something stupid because of your love for him.”

The room fell into a tense silence. Seokjin’s eyes moved to the adjacent room, where Taehyung lay tied to a chair, still unconscious. His chest tightened at the sight. Seokjin couldn’t bear it. How could he face Taehyung when he woke up? How could he look into his eyes and see the betrayal there?

He was weak when it came to Taehyung. He knew that. And that weakness terrified him because it meant he was capable of doing something reckless... something dangerous… something stupid...

because of love.

“Keep them apart,” Raejin ordered to the guards. “Both brothers. I don’t want them seeing each other.”

Taehyung had been placed in a separate room adjacent to the hall where they kept Jungkook. Every target the Howlers needed was now abducted. Namjoon and Yeonjun were held in the same hall as Jungkook, while Taehyung and Jimin were confined together in the other room.

When Taehyung stirred, his head was pounding, his vision blurred. The first thing he saw was Jimin’s unconscious form slumped beside him. “Jimin!” he yelled, his voice cracking as he struggled against the ropes biting into his wrists. He twisted, pulling harder, but the bindings only dug deeper into his skin, leaving angry red marks. “HELP!” he screamed, his voice hoarse, panic rising in his chest.

It wasn’t long before the door creaked open, and Raejin stepped inside, a smirk tugging at his lips as he took in the scene. “What’s the commotion about?” he asked lazily, his voice dripping with mockery.

“Fuck you, Seokjin! Let us go!” Taehyung shouted, glaring at the man he thought was his lover.

Raejin’s smirk deepened as he grabbed a chair, dragging it toward Taehyung and sitting down with a casual arrogance. “What’s that, Taehyung? You wanted to kill me. Do you really want to kill the love of your life?”

Taehyung’s heart clenched painfully at Raejin’s words. Tears welled in his eyes, but he blinked them back, not wanting to show weakness. His voice wavered as he choked out, “You liar… You never loved me. You used me. Everything...everything was a lie”

Raejin watched him, his expression unmoving, but something flickered in his eyes, something Taehyung couldn’t read. Raejin leaned forward, elbows resting on his knees, his voice low. “It’s your brother who started this game, Taehyung. He’s the one playing.”

“But Jungkook loves you for real!” Taehyung screamed, his voice breaking with emotion. “He knew everything, but he came to you anyway. He came with you knowing he might die.”

Raejin’s composure cracked for a split second. His body stiffened, his eyes darkening with words of Taehyung. He shot up from the chair, his movements sharp and frustrated, as if the words Taehyung spoke had hit too close to the truth.
