The night of their first official date had felt like a dream. Taehyung had been glowing with happiness, and Seokjin had allowed himself to be vulnerable for the first time in years. He didn’t let himself enjoy many things in life, but tonight, with Taehyung, everything seemed… right.

As Seokjin dropped him off, Taehyung turned to him with a soft, content smile, the kind that made Seokjin’s chest tighten. “Thank you for tonight, hyung. I’ve never been this happy.”

Seokjin couldn’t find the words to respond. He simply nodded. He didn’t want to spoil this moment, but deep down, a knot had already begun forming in his stomach.

Taehyung leaned in for one last look. “See you tomorrow?”

Seokjin hesitated, feeling the weight of the phone in his pocket. “Yeah… see you.”

The moment Taehyung closed the door, Seokjin got out. Taehyung turned to see Seokjin. His eyes widened in surprise as Seokjin gestured him to come closer.
Taehyung came near him looking down. Seokjin lifted his face by his finger and kissed him. Kiss was slow and deep with so much affection that Seokjin tries to hide. He stoped when his phone buzzed again, he pulled him away gently, "Take care"
Taehyung nodded bashfully and went inside his home excitedly.

Back at the house, Raejin was already seated, his expression hard, calculating. Seokjin walked in with Yoongi, feeling the shift in the atmosphere immediately.

“What are you doing, brother?” Raejin’s voice was calm, but it had a sharp edge. “What exactly are you thinking?”

Seokjin tensed, the question hitting deeper than he expected. He knew Raejin will know sooner or later. Raejin always knew more than he let on. But Seokjin wasn’t ready for this conversation.

Raejin leaned forward, as he heard the silence, “You are seeing Enemy's cousin, Seokjin. Do you understand how dangerous this can be. You can spoil our whole plan?”

Seokjin remained silent, his jaw clenched. He knew where Raejin was headed, and it only made him feel worse.

“Do you think this is a game?” Raejin continued, his voice sharp. “If he finds out who you really are, if JK finds out, you’re jeopardizing everything. More than a decade of carefully hiding who we are. And for what? A distraction?”

Seokjin’s chest tightened, the urge to defend Taehyung rising, but he bit it back.

“I’ll just kill JK and end this game,” Seokjin said coldly, the words slipping out like a defense mechanism.

Raejin’s expression faltered for a second before hardening again. “No. We agreed that JK is Kai’s prey. And Kai will finish him. Don’t complicate things further.”

Seokjin’s fists clenched at his sides, but he said nothing.

Raejin’s gaze softened slightly, but his voice remained stern. “You need to stop seeing him, brother.”

Seokjin felt something break inside him. The thought of hurting Taehyung, of pushing him away after everything they had been through, was unbearable. But he knew Raejin was right. Their world didn’t allow for love, at least not love like this.

Raejin stood to leave, but not before giving his final warning. “Don’t make me regret trusting you with this.”

As the door closed behind him, Seokjin’s chest felt hollow. He stared at his phone, his mind racing.

---

Taehyung stared at his phone in disbelief. The message cut through him like a knife. He read it over and over again, hoping it was a mistake. But the more he read it, the more his heart broke.
