"Wanna go on the horsey ride?" I ask Taylor.
"Yes!" She's squeals.
"Harry, we have to go on the merry go round." I say carrying Taylor into the line.
Harry turns around and follows us to the line, once we scan the wristbands, I put Taylor on her favorite horse.
"Bwooke, go on too?" She asks.
"Oh uh, sure. Harry hold her on the horse then." I say getting on the horse next to her.
"Do I have to hold you too?" Harry smirks.
I laugh and shake my head. The bell goes off and the ride starts. Taylor smiles and giggles as her horse goes up and down, moving the reign. Harry looks at her with such a big smile it makes my heart melt.
"Giddy up!" Taylor laughs.
The second bell goes off and the ride comes to a halt. We get off and Taylor immediately runs to the boats.
"So." I say as she rides the boats. "Can I ask why you're afraid of being alone?"Harry stiffens and looks at me. "Why?"
"I just want to know, like, if your home alone, aren't you scared then?"
"It's not like that." He starts. "It's more of being left alone."
"Will you explain." I say smiling at Taylor ringing the bell on her boat.
"I don't like being with someone, then them leaving. I don't like being with anyone and them leaving. Especially people I care about."
"So when I came home and you were freaking out?"
He looks at me. "I thought you left me because I wasn't good enough. I know I'm not but I didn't want to loose you over it."
I think. "When you sleep over, you always sleep on top of me and you cl-"
"Cling onto you." He sighs. "If I cling, you can't leave."
"So it's a constant fear of being left alone."
"Yes. When I'm alone, I over think, I worry." He looks down. "I do a lot of things I probably shouldn't."
I look at harry, down to the floor, and back to him. "Well. I'll always be here, always."
He lightly laughs. "You've proved it."
Taylor runs over to us and points to the helicopters.
"I go on plane!" She says taking my hand and dragging us to the helicopters.
"Can you strap her in?" I ask harry, he nods and takes her into one of the six tiny helicopters. He buckles her in and gives her a light kiss on the forehead. Then he walks over to me again. We stand in silence as we watch taylor go up and down.
"Who left you?" I blurt.
He looks taken aback. "What?"
"Fears usually come from an earlier time frame, who left you?"
"My father. I was six, we were watching a movie but I felt tired. So he promised me we would finish it the next day. I woke up the next morning and I couldn't find him anywhere."
"What...what happened?"
"Died in a car crash on the way to work." He says crossing his arms.
"So." I say processing his words. "In a way, you're scared of being left alone, because the person who left you could be in danger?"
"Precisely." He looks at me and grabs my waist. "Don't leave, please."
"I have no reason to."
"No listen. I'm an asshole, I know. I'm rude, ignorant, perverted, and a smartass. But please, no matter what I do, don't leave me."
"I won't. Ever."
"I get ice cream?" Taylor asks out of nowhere.
"Oh uh, sure." I say picking her up. "Guess our day off from school is coming to an end." I laugh.
"I didn't have off today." Harry says.
"You skipped school?"
"Yeah.." He says rubbing the back of his neck.
"Harry! That's not good."
"I didn't want to leave so soon." He frowns.
"You don't have to."
