ABBYS P.O.V.
"It was all a bet?" I ask, face falling.
"I'm so sorry." Brooke cries.
I try to keep my strongest for her but my strongest isn't enough, as I too start to let tears fall. I thought Niall genuinely liked me, as I do him. But I was wrong. Man I was wrong. At this point I don't know if I'm hurting or if brooke is hurting worse.
"I'm so sorry." Brooke says once again.
"It's not your fault." I sniffle, throwing my head back onto my couch. "Look, maybe we should take a break from the boys, yeah?"
"Deal."
Right when I think I'm over it, something snaps and I break down. Tears stream down my face and I can't believe the fact that I was part of a bet.
All the dates we had, the fun, the kisses, the cuddles, it was all fake. None of it actually mattered to him, and I think that hurts the most.
Brooke's phone vibrates but she ignores it, probably harry.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
I shake my head while holding back tears. "No." I whimper.
"Hey, look at me?" I look up. "This is a hard time for the both of us, but look, you're really down right now, let me be your trampoline, let me bounce you back up."
A small smile forms on my face. "You know what we should do?"
"What?" She asks.
"The arcade at the boardwalk is open all night, wanna go play the Wizard of Oz game?"
She smiles big and nods. "We should probably get changed first, and clean our faces. We both look like raccoons." She laughs. I laugh too. We get up and get changed and clean up.

"Okay, so you have to shoot the quarter behind the other quarters so that when the wall pushes the quarters, they will fall, causing you to win either a token or a card." Brooke explains.
"Right." I say as I aim my quarter, I shoot it and it lands. "This is pretty entertaining actually." I laugh.
"I love it." Brooke says putting her money in, and sitting down.
Minutes pass and it's just us playing the game. The arcade isn't empty but it isn't packed at all. My eyes wander to a group of four girls playing ski ball.
"Hey brooke, isn't that Lauren over there?" I ask.
She turns her head to wear I said. "Uh yeah, I think so."
The girls laugh and start to walk our way, towards the exit. Brooke waves hi to Lauren but Lauren doesn't return the favor.
"That's weird. That's the second time she didn't say or do anything."
"I Don't like her anymore."
"She seems, like two faced?" Brooke questions. "Like when she's with her friends she doesn't want anything to do with me, but when it's just us she loves me."
"Cut her." I say.
"No oh my god." She laughs.
I stare at my game. "Brooke can I ask you something?"
"Anything, yeah."
"Why did you forgive harry after the prank?"
She stops playing her game and looks down.
"I guess I just didn't want to loose him. I didn't want to loose Alison either but I didn't so it's okay. But... I forgave him so easily, and I don't know why."
"We need to get you to move on."
"I don't want to move on.." She sighs.
"Brooke are you kidding me? Look what he's done!"
"Abby I literally gave myself to him. He was my first. First everything really."
A song comes on in the arcade.
'Ive got thick skin and an elastic heart, but your blade it might be too sharp'. It sings.
"I'm luck a rubber band, until you pull too hard. Yeah I may snap and I move fast." Brooke says, along with the song.
"This song has so many memories for you doesn't it?" I ask.
"A lot." She lightly laughs.
I go back to my game and shoot my last quarter. The wall pushes the others and a card falls.
"Oh brooke I got one!" I scream out of happiness.
"What character?" She asks coming over to me.
"Toto!"
"Fuck Abby! Hide it!" She laughs. "Toto is the rarest. Put it in your purse or something!"
This is exactly what I needed. Girl time. I don't need Niall. I need my best friend and nothing more.
