The group of Royal Kansen walk through the corridor of the hospital, staff and walking patients stop and bow to the group to then go about their tasks. With ardent leading, they head straight to a door where it is being guarded by a squad of soldiers dressed in full combat gear.
Lieutenant: Your majesty, we would like IDs to make sure
Hood: Of course, here you go.
The group present their IDs, which the officer scans and was given the clearance to head into the room. Once entering they see me, sitting upright and reading a book.
Illustrious: Hello little Johnston, what are you reading?
I was startled by the question and look to see the group standing at the entrance. I quietly close the book and show the cover. "All The Light We Cannot See" A novel about two people on opposite sides stuck in a war, the power of connection from two perspectives facing adversities.
Hood: That seems to be an interesting book. A tale to stand tall against darkness of war by Hope, resilience and compassion for the other.
Illustrious: An epitome for the holy light.
The others groan from Illustrious epitome for the holy light. Vestal comes over to check on my status.
Vestal: How are you feeling? Any pain.
I silently shake my head, quietly watching the others look at me. I was gauging their reaction towards me. Unfortunately, I didn't account for a different person to slip through a window and grab me from behind
Ark Royal: Oh, what a poor little destroyer, getting hurt by the big bad Ironblood. (whispers in my ear) Don't worry, I can make you feel so much better.
I suddenly get a flashback to when scientists said those exact words, right before dissecting me for research. I started to tear up and felt pain in my chest as memories resurface, I began crying from the phantom pain. I felt the world closing in on me as I try to regain my composure
Ark Royal: What's wrong, are you ok?
Both me and Aegis shared the same mentality, grabbing Ark Royal and flip her across the room and into the wall, knocking her out cold.
Me/Aegis: I am more than capable to do damage control. I don't want to do anything more done to me.
Both of us look to the others as they look at me in shock. The squad outside rush in to protect the occupants inside, to see that everything was alright.
Elizabeth: (sighs) I though Ark Royal was at Scapa, how did she get here?
Warspite: Most likely gotten the same news as us that a lone destroyer was damaged by an Ironblood Battleship and lived to tell the tale.
Elizabeth: Oh speaking of that, there was another encounter your group had to entangle, is that right Illustrious?
Illustrious nods and looks at me for a moment as I stand at parade rest
Illustrious: Correct, it wasn't long after Johnston came to our group and swung back towards home when both her and Ardent detected a submarine. You call it, a killer something?
Me: A hunter-killer submarine. An attack type of submarine capable on destroying other submarines, surface ships and some are equipped with land attack missiles.
