Chapter 14

At the facility, there is a spa bathhouse located towards the better part of the seaside where large windows face the open ocean.

Many kansen head inside as the building was just completed for reconstruction and has a bigger capacity for all kansen. I was hesitant to go with them, but I was dragged along, literally, by Belfast as she wanted me to relax after the stressful time I had.

Belfast: If I have to repeat myself one more time, I need to bring Vestal with me to force you to relax. It is important to rest once in a while. One kansen in particular has a bad habit that I can see you doing as well.

Me: It's not my fault that everyone wants to rip me apart!

I was dragged into the changing room, where I can see all the different kansen changing from their clothing to towels. I watched as the many kansen go about, talking to each other as they change.

Belfast gets me over tothe side and prepares to undress me. I try to fight against her but I was double teamed when Ardent comes over to help Belfast. I felt the shirt come off, showing huge scars that run along my back.

Surgically cut with others snaking along my body from the bottom of my next down to the bottom. All across my core body, sparkling blue light emanate from where blood vessels are at

Belfast: Oh my...

Everyone stops what they are doing as they look over to me. I shudder in place as I try to keep my emotions in check, but I sort of let go at a point and sobbed into my hands.

Me: p-p-please, let m-me... leave

I then felt a hand touch my shoulder, but I knocked it off. The hand grabs my shoulder with a force that I was spun around. I see unicorn in front of me and she begins to trace my scars all along my body, going lower and lower.

Me: Please, stop...

Unicorn didn't listen as she kept on tracing my scars. I was beginning to feel overwhelmed that I kind of snapped...

I push her away, which she stumbles and falls onto the floor with a loud thud, causing more kansen to poke their heads in. I stood still as I was shocked that I hurt another comrade.

Memories flash when I would get scolded when my anger reached a tipping point

Someone: You don't know what the real world is like...

Someone 1: You don't know what kind of suffering we have gone through...

I felt my cube almost pulse angerly as I watch Ardent come and help Unicorn back on her feet.

Me: I... Im sorry, I will get my things and-

Unicorn launched herself at me and held me closely as she hugs me in comfort.

Unicorn: Its ok, I got curious and didn't stop when you were uncomfortable. Are you ok?

I silently nod as Unicorn grabs my hands and smiles warmly at me.

Unicorn: Honestly, that blue glow you have is different. Look at me, I may be small but it doesn't mean im a freak. I can't understand who or why did this to you, but that makes you a survivor. I don't know what might happen in the future, but at the very least, you have me...

I shyly look at Unicorn's eye to see her staring at me warmly, which gave me a mental boost to the negativity I have for the past few minutes.

Unicorn: Do you want to relax for a bit? I know that you are the only one from the future must be hard for you... If you need someone to listen to any problems, you can find me not too far away.
