USS Johnston (DDG-175) "Fog of War"

Chapter 4

Tallinn carefully goes through the hallway inside the Johnston, until she comes across a door with a number pad on it. She tries to open it, but the security system activates.

Suddenly, multiple loud pinging echoes through the hallways as Tallinn runs away with me following.

Me: United States Navy, STOP!!!

I then fire another burst but miss again as the intruder rounds a corner and seals the door. I try to open the door but realize that it is jammed.

me: SHIT, Aegis... Aegis?

Aegis doesn't say anything as I run through the halls and up towards the deck, hoping to cut her off if she is trying to escape.

Aegis: Security cameras active, the intruder is heading towards the prisoner compound.

I open the door to the infirmary where Vestal is keeping the others safe.

Me: Vestal, alert the base. I will go after her

Vestal: What?

I run outside and see someone opening the door and slip inside, I then run towards the prison camp as Vestal goes off to the side to alert the base.

Tallinn opens the door up and sees U-557 sitting there lazily, reacting to her presence, she looks up to see the cruiser has gotten a bit banged up.

U-557: What happened to you?

Tallinn: Shut up, they are onto us, if you could possibly-

The door kicks open to reveal me standing at the entrance with my m4 raised towards the two.

Me: Hands up, don't try, the base is now on alert.

Then the alarm sounds and the two kansen rush me, I pull the trigger but realize that a casing has jammed the mechanism. I pull back the slide, which ejected the empty casing, unfortunately the two got onto me and began beating me. I grab one of them called Tallinn and push her away and onto the ground. The other one whirls around to my back and tries to chokehold me with my rifle.

I ran backwards into the hallway and slam the kansen into the wall, which releases me from her stranglehold on me. Tallinn runs at me and punches my gut under the protective vest. I stumble onto the ground, gasping for air as Tallinn grabs my weapons.

Tallinn: Well, that's unfortunate, guess that means goodbye for you

The door leading to the outside suddenly explodes open. I use this opportunity and grab my weapon and slam the buttstock onto the two kansen, who collapse onto the floor. Just then, multiple soldiers come in with their weapons drawn and pointed towards the other two.

We all head outside into the large open field where everyone in the base is crowding in a big circle, whooping and cheering as the submarine and the spy, Tallinn come out. The latter too exhausted to stand up and is dragged by me over to the center. Sovetsky Soyuz stands at one end of the circle, along with the rest of the parliament kansen are, clearly pissed.

Kirov: Tallinn?!?

The crowd quiets as they look towards their fearless leader. I slam Tallinn to the ground and then tug her hair so that she is on her knees looking up towards Soyuz.

Soyuz: Please comrade American, no need to be so harsh to our traitor.

Tallinn: Traitor, ha...

Gangut steps forward

Gangut: So, boss, what should we do with her, eh? Davai, Davai!

Soyuz raises a hand and, in a moment, all present are silent.
