USS Johnston (DDG-175) "Fog of War"

Chapter 21

Out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, multiple kansen (Nagato, Mutsu, Shokaku, Zuikaku, Takao and Shimakaze) are waiting as another group come alongside.

Nagato sees that it is Bismarck and Tirpitz, along with Hipper and Lutzow, graf zeppelin and Z1.

Nagato: Good day miss Tirpitz, Madam Bismarck. I assume you are here for a meet up.

Bismarck: (nods) That would be correct. It seems the maid corps have sent a message to have us represent a couple of our people that have been captured and are being tried in court.

Nagato: Yes, this is highly irregular. I don't understand as to-

Shokaku: I do apologize lady Nagato, there is a ship on the horizon.

Shokaku points to a distant contact coming from the direction of the Royal Navy.

Tirpitz: I can't make it out. Z1?

Z1: Nein.

Nagato: (shrugs) I will pull up a spotter aircraft to identify.

With those words a clank echoes through the air and the whirring of an aircraft engine roars by the kansen and climbs into the skies. It didn't take long for the aircraft to find the ship and made a few circles to identify it.

Nagato: hmmm, how odd. This ship is something I have never seen before.

Tirpitz, Lutzow, Z1, shokaku, zuikaku and Takao hesitate at the leader's words

Tirpitz: Can you tell us?

Nagato: a single cannon on the bow, large, angled superstructure, two funnels a aa cannon and a low freeboard.

The previously mention group of kansen freeze at the description, while the others are confused.

Zuikaku: miss Nagato, we must take you to safety, that... thing is the devil.

Nagato: What are you saying, your report mentioned that you engaged this ship.

Takao: This is no ordinary ship ma'am. Whoever that "ship" is, its the work of something we can't comprehend, I agree with Zuikaku.

Bismarck: You are being ridiculous.

Tirpitz: (angered) Ridiculous?! Sister, me, Lutzow, Z1 and those three have seen what she is capable of.

Zeppelin: Then just destroy her, she's just a ship.

Takao: Except for the fact that Ayanami reported that her main weapons were destroyed, when we engaged her, it seems that we were tricked. Please miss Nagato, heed our warnings, we must leave.

Sheffield: And leave your comrades to a fate worse than the depths of the ocean?

Everyone jumps at the sight as Sheffield is standing on the waves behind the group and bows. Edinburgh also appears from nowhere and bows as well.

Edinburgh: We have been sent by Queen Elizabeth herself to accompany you aboard the destroyer Johnston to the Royal Navy, where a court will determine the fate of your operatives that were captured.

Everyone calms down a bit as they see the ship coming closer still.

Sheffield: We promise that there will be no fighting while we head to port, but if there is any funny business... Things won't get pretty. (dangerous glare)

This put most of the group afraid of the implications of what is going to happen. After this I pull alongside the group, where they jump aboard. I come out of the shadow of the "tunnel" where everyone looks at me.

Shokaku, Zuikaku and Atago get in front of Nagato while Lutzow and Z1 get in front of Bismarck and Tirpitz. I stare at the group as we look to each other. Edinburgh and Sheffield coming onboard off to the side.
