Chapter 43: First Farewell
Obviously after the riot came, the event failed and the shooting couldn't continue anymore. The medic immediately started assisting the fallen trainees to the clinic and Qian Jin could only ask for He Yan's family help again for more manpower. As for the ranking event, the Director has no choice about it even if the announcement will be delayed anymore and the people outside will wonder.
What was the problem was there wasn't enough that had been shot. They could not upload the episode for the ranking assessment so they could only helplessly accept this failure. But Qian Jin doesn't want to think about this and only wants for the safety of the young men.
Because this matter is too difficult, he could only contact the higher-ups for consultation. Several minutes later, Chen Jiang came together with the other higher-ups.
They look worried at the trainees inside.
"What happened?" Chen Jiang asked with a frown on his face. Qian Jin sighs.
"They seem unable to accept failure."
One of the higher-up's forehead creased. "Just this? Are youngsters nowadays like this?"
That's right. Even a kid can accept the existence of Zergs which are more terrifying than monsters in fairy tales. Why do they seem unable to accept failures like this? If this can make them breakdowns, what about in the future? How can they accept it?
"I think there's more than this." Lin Yu has an expression of being solemn and a faint confusion. "The situation was confusing earlier. One or two trainees can probably have breakdowns but there's too many. They even fell at the same time as if..." Lin Yu was collecting his thoughts into words but Xu Xinyi finished it off.
"They look infected by a virus."
"...?!" Everyone looked at her in disbelief.
"Isn't it?" Xu Xinyi raises her brow at them. "There were riots at the same time and some trainees were even standing together. It does look like they were infected earlier and the virus ran too fast."
"But that's impossible." Qian Jin couldn't help but intervene. "Riots can indeed influence other mental pollution but what happened earlier was too fast."
"I know. What I said was just a little speculation. It can be either true or not."
Pei Roujin's eyes flash. "It sounds impossible... but it does look like it."
Even Pei Roujin agrees with Xu Xinyi so they fall into silence. This situation was really too weird. It happened so fast that they didn't expect any of this.
"Let's just wait for the doctor." Chen Jiang rubs his aching temples.
Everyone nodded and they also informed other trainees to go back to their room so as to leave space and for other possible influences from riots. Although everyone looked worried, they could only turn their backs and walk at a heavy pace.
But instead of going back to their rooms, they went straight to the living area to have a conversation.
"Did anyone notice anything weird earlier?" Different from just the usual young-master like Shen Lou, his temperament totally changed at this moment. If he was just like an extraordinary youth in the past, now he is more calm and serious like a man with experience. Even He Yan didn't smile like the usual for he was also like him, both grew from a military family.
"What kind of weird, Brother Shen?" Xing Ren asked.
"Even if it sounds impossible, what the teachers said had a point. It's too weird. I think something really did happen." Everyone agrees to his point but they also fall into confusion. They don't have any idea about the cause for this sudden mess.
