"Uh... hi?" she managed, her voice a mix of disbelief and embarrassment. As Yuna lay on the deck, stunned from her unexpected landing, she suddenly heard a chorus of voices shouting, "MILADY?!"
Startled, she looked up to see the familiar faces of the Red-Haired Pirates surrounding her, their expressions a mix of shock and delight.
"Uh... hey, everyone," she chuckled nervously, feeling her cheeks flush as she registered their enthusiastic greetings.
"Milady!" they exclaimed in unison, their joy palpable
A/N: Milady is mean Ojou in Japanese, you know that?
Ben Beckman stepped forward, extending a hand to help Yuna up. "Here, let me help you," he said, his expression calm and reassuring.
"Milady!! WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!" Yassop shouted from the back, his eyes wide with concern. He pointed at the damage on the ship, which showed signs of stress from her sudden impact. "LOOK AT THIS DAMAGE!"
Yuna glanced around, realizing the Red-Haired Pirates' ship was a bit battered from where she had landed, but her waver was floating perfectly fine in the sea. How the hell is the waver okay? she thought in disbelief, shaking her head in confusion.
"I'm from... um, Sky Island," she said slowly, trying to regain her composure.
Lucky Roux laughed, his belly shaking with mirth. "So Milady alike!" The crew erupted into laughter, easing the tension, and Yuna couldn't help but smile at their camaraderie.
"Where's Shanks?" she asked, scanning the deck for him, but no one seemed to point him out.
Ben placed a hand on her shoulder, a knowing look in his eyes. "Good luck," he said simply, but there was a hint of mischief in his voice.
Yuna's heart raced, and she felt a bit of color drain from her face. "What do you mean, good luck?" she exclaimed, panic creeping into her tone.
"Just go to his bedroom!" Snake chimed in, grinning widely. The rest of the crew exchanged glances and gave her a thumbs-up, as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
Yuna sighed heavily, her heart pounding. "This is not how I imagined reuniting with everyone..." she muttered under her breath, feeling the weight of their expectations.
With a deep breath, she steeled herself. I can do this. She turned toward the entrance to Shanks's quarters, her mind racing. As she approached the door, the cheers and laughter of the crew faded into the background, replaced by the thumping of her heartbeat in her ears.
Taking a moment to gather her thoughts, Yuna knocked softly on the door. "Shanks?" she called out hesitantly.
The crew's laughter faded behind her as she braced herself for whatever would come next, her heart racing with a mix of anticipation and nerves.
Yuna stood outside the cabin door for a moment, steadying herself. Taking a deep breath, she pushed the door open to find Shanks sitting in his chair, staring out at the sea. The sunlight glistened off the water, casting a warm glow across the room, but Shanks didn't turn to acknowledge her entrance.
His posture was calm, but there was a subtle tension in the air. He simply gazed out at the horizon, his back turned toward her.
Yuna walked slowly up to him, her footsteps soft on the wooden floor. "I'm back," she said quietly, her voice carrying a mixture of relief and nervousness. She wasn't sure how he'd react after all this time.
Shanks finally turned around to face her, but instead of his usual carefree grin, he had a pout on his lips. His eyes narrowed slightly, clearly holding back his emotions, though his expression was more playful than angry.
