September 1st, 1992

"You'll be good, won't you?" Dad asked as he hugged me bye.

"Yes, dad, will you be okay on your own?" I wondered aloud, worrying about him being by himself.

"Don't worry about me; I'll be fine. Go ahead and get onto the train; it's going to leave soon." he responded.

I looked up at him to see that he had tears in his eyes. "Dad, whats wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing; everything is okay, my πάντα, I promise. Now go get on that train and show everyone the person I raised you to be!" He said it excitedly with a growing smile on his face.

"Okay, I love you more than anything else; bye, Dad," I whispered, hugging him one last time.

"I love you so much more, my πάντα" he responded.

I grabbed a hold of my trunk and turned towards the train. I took a deep breath and walked over to the train.

One of the workers for the train took my trunk for me, so I decided to go ahead and find cart 134, the cart the marauders always sat in. Once I found it, I took my seat and looked out the window to see my dad shaking his head and smiling at me. He saw me looking and waved. I heard the whistle of the train blow, telling us we were about to move.

I reached my hand up and waved bye. After all, in my family, goodbye means forever.

πάντα is the Greek word for everything.
