Hi! I'm sorry its been a minute I have been really busy with school work this past week I also have been having a lot of writers block and being discouraged. But all those things aside I have another chapter for you! Have a great time reading!

September 3rd, 1992

I felt the warm breeze of the summer night run over my skin. Looking over the plain of tall grass, I thought about how it would be to run across it, wild and free. I cuddled into my dads warm in brace while we looked at the stars. I started to hum a soft melody I had been playing on my violin earlier that day.

"Do you see that star over to the right, dear?" My dad asked, pointing his finger at the brightest star.

I sat up to look where he was pointing; once I saw it, I nodded my head and leaned back into my father.

"That is the Sirius star, my πάντα," he whispered into ear.

I smiled as I drifted to sleep in my father's warm brace.

"Amalia!" Lena said, shaking my arm to gain my attention.

"Sorry, I was thinking about my dad," I said, smiling at her.

Me and Lena had only known each other for several days, but we were already close friends.

"It's alright, I just wanted to say that Professor Lockhart should be here soon," she said. Her voice was sounding like a song: "What's he like, your dad?"

"The kindest, sweatiest, and most protective person I've met," I said with a smile.

Just then this guy in dark purpleish robes and golden blond hair came down the stairs and said, "I am Professor Lockhart; yes, I know the one and only. Today we will learn about me, of course."

After he said that, I sighed that this was going to be a long class.

Once class ended, Lena and I decided to go eat some lunch because our next class didn't start for another hour and a half.

Once we sat down and got our food, Lena asked, "Where are you from?"

"London, but I grew up in the U.S. until I was nine," I said, remembering the nightmare of a life I had until my dad was able to regain custody of me. "What about you?"

"I was born in London too, but I was raised on a farm," she said.

"That's really cool," I said. "Have you ever ridden a horse?"

"Yes! I love horses; I understand them much more than humans," she responded, a huge smile growing onto her face.

I smiled back at understanding what she meant. I've never ridden a horse, but I just understand them.

Herbology and History of Magic went by really fast, but dinner felt like forever. After dinner, I showered, got ready for bed, and pulled out a book my dad had given to me. After a while, I put my book down and closed my eyes.

I fell asleep thinking about how horses get to run wild and free.
