With Rowan being all I could think about, I almost entirely forgot my mission. Suddenly, it didn't seem so important that I go home. And revenge wasn't as enticing anymore. What was happening to me?

Still, I believed I had done more than enough. Victory was certain for Revelia. I had made sure of it. So why did I feel all of a sudden guilty?

Once I was done with my duty at the border camps, I got a few supplies I thought I might need later and went back home.

For the first time, the dull and bleak atmosphere didn't seem as comforting. It was definitely how I liked it before but perhaps my preferences had changed.

A red cloak, he had said. How ridiculous!

There were no meeting with the king the following day and so I thought why not visit my dear prince to see what he was up to.

I found him at the archery grounds with thean I had come to learn was named Cassius. They appeared to be good friends. I settled onto a tree when Rowan noticed my presence. I was in my raven form but he was certain that it was me, perched and watching him.

He quickly regained his composure and turned to his friend.

"I don't know about that Rowan," said Cassius as he aimed for the target an getia perfect bullseye. "It just feels too soon. Definitely not the right time."

"Well, there's never really a right time when it comes to such matters," replied Rowan, "So the sooner the better."

"Whatever you say. Can I tag along to witness the show incase she kills you. I'm told their hairpins are quite sharp. She could gouge your eyes out."

"I doubt that she'd ever do such a thing. But yes, I'd like you to tag along."

" Perfect! Just give me a set time and I'll be there."

Wow. I had not expected Rowan to be so quick to end his courtship with the young lady. Did it have to do with me? I hoped so but probably not. As he said, he wasn't romantically interested in the girl from the start and it was best to just let her go.

Just then, Cassius spotted me perched on the tree. "Well I'll be damned... That has to be the biggest crow I've ever seen. It would do so well as a target, wouldn't it Rowan?"

As Cassius picked up another arrow and aimed it at me, Rowan held his hands down, "I don't think that's a good idea. Perhaps not. There's a range for moving targets and you know that."

"Your such a joykill."

Seeing as I had just barely escaped death, I decided that it was an appropriate time for me to leave.

Author's note: I'm disappointed by how short this chapter is but typing on my phone is gruesome
