Jennie had easily changed courses to go back and have a sweet little talk with Liv. The crew had been seething with rage for about two days of their journey, Y/N was worried about meeting them and their heated eyes somewhere. They had indeed not taken well to that information she had provided.

Not that Y/N did not feel wronged by Liv. If Jennie's assumption about the woman had been right, they all had significantly suffered by Liv's hand. And even then Liv did not just hurt Jennie who she was angry at, but also all of the crew members including Y/N at that time.

Now, Y/N fully understands how Tikki was created, even though they had explained it to her before, she understands it more completely now. This is because Liv is a witch who cast a spell on herself to get pregnant with Jennie.

While Y/N could understand the anger of the crew perfectly well, she did not quite see the need to go there and make Liv feel the consequences. They had already saved their lives already, why did they have to hurt her now?

When Y/N had shared her thoughts with Minji (one of the still calmer people on the ship), Minji just laughed and patted her hair. The pirate had called Y/N too soft to be a pirate yet and that she should have known she was going to get in trouble when defying Jennie's grace.

She also was right in some way. Jennie accepted Liv and respected her as a woman who lived and bore her child, even letting Ryujin protect her. And then she attacked Ryujin too.

So while Y/N might have not understood fully how their minds worked regarding the matter, she observed the happenings from a save distance, spending more time with Minji studying. Jennie was busy preparing for possible counterattacks from Liv's side, sometimes sending mail out to Rosé in order to make sure they were ready.

When the day came that they went ashore on the pirate's island again, Y/N was keenly aware of how close to her home they were. She felt the need to go back and tell her mother what happened, that she was going to spend a lot of her time on a boat from now on if she knew her mother is safe.

Y/N had been thinking a lot about whether she could stay or not. She had given a promise to her captain, yes, but Jennie had also told her she could wait. If Y/N first wanted to make sure her mother was okay, then she could always join the crew later on.

Jennie had promised her she would still be there and wait for her.

So Y/N did plan on asking her mother after they had talked with Liv whether or not she could go home to talk to her, to plan her future.

She felt a bit out of place trudging through the city together with them, the crowd parting around Jennie who looked mightily impressive with her long coat, sharp eyes, and quick steps. The whole main crew was with them (Y/N had automatically been ranked as such since she could read and had some survival skills to boast with. Also, Jennie might have been playing favourites, but the whole crew had agreed on her new rank as their cook. Ryujin was glad.)

Momo and Nayeon had stayed on the ship, not really bothered by the happening as they did not seem important enough for Liv. (Another reason why Y/N was part of the main crew. Their shadows had basically shaped the future again.)

Y/N was walking pretty much in their middle, being right behind the captain who was flanked by Ryujin and Yeji. The other four too were walking behind Y/N, their faces grim and their hands settled on their respective weapons.

They had talked about how their visit would go. Y/N was supposed to go there together with the rest and grab Tikki. The kid did not need to see the fight, and depending on how Liv might act, Jennie was ready to kill the woman. If that would be the case, they had decided to take Tikki with them, if not forever then at least for the time being until they found someone to take actual care of the little one.
