Italic-Clone

Their journey had been much too smooth for Y/N's liking. She had not been harassed by their clones, even her own just keeping it at chaste kisses and whispered promises that made Y/N tremble all over. It did not feel peaceful, however. Rather, Y/N always suspected some sort of attack and when none came, leaving her paranoid and confused, she started entertaining the thought that they had a plan.

They would not be this comfortable and easy-going with the crew after two mere months. They probably had some sinister thoughts lurking in the darkness of their minds and Y/N was not ready to explore them.

On the evening before they arrived at the island that marked their meeting point, Y/N got visited by her clone, slinking into the captain's cabin where she had been staying all this time.

The other Y/N was not wearing her normal uniform, instead donning some different black outfit. Over her arm, she was carrying the black fabric with its many chains, the hat, and mask. Y/N eyed her suspiciously while she stepped in, giving a lazy smirk.

"How do you feel? You ready to meet your little lover again?"

Y/N scooted over to accommodate the other woman with her on the bed, watching her lay down the outfit neatly. "You are bold to assume I will go through with this. I will not betray Jennie like this."

Her perfect duplication looked at Y/N with something akin to pity in her eyes, Y/N gently catching Y/N's chin with her fingers to make her look at her.

A heavy sigh escaped Y/N's lips before she pressed them to Y/N's curtly, their kiss suspiciously soft. "It's not you that's betraying her. She will betray you. This is a pirate we talk about, and I know her other half. Jennie will not hesitate to kill you if you are in her way."

Her clone was doing it again. Planting doubts, watching them grow with a victorious grin. Y/N sometimes tried to understand where this version of her was coming from, what part of her exactly it personified but she always came up short.

Y/N shakes her head. "Stop it. Her killing me because she thinks it's you is not the same as a betrayal. Also, what makes you so sure Jennie plans something?"

"Because we are planning, dear. And we are part of you." With some more force, Y/N pressed Y/N down on the bed, settling above her lax form like a cat. Y/N imagined the other woman was Jennie when she was kissed again.

"This is your only option if you want to see her. Who knows, maybe you'll outsmart all of us? I know how desperate I would be to save my precious. It's just the same as you. I'm really excited about what you'll think of."

So they did plan on wiping out the crew. And if she was right, Jennie had the same intentions. What were they supposed to do? As far as Y/N was concerned, they did not even know the full reason for those shadows' existence yet. Was it safe for both groups to try and kill each other?

"And also..."

Y/N's attention snapped back to her clone, her eyes narrowing at the cunning grin on the other's lips.

"Our dear Captains will share more than just drinks and booty together tomorrow. You would hate it if I was going to be the one joining them, right?"

Y/N shivered as her own dark voice hit her ears, a warning hand settling on her chest to keep her from bucking the other off.

"Make this turn out in your favour. As there can only be one Y/N, for now, be glad that I let you have this chance. We gotta work together as allies, you know?"
