After what Tutankhamun did to Merit, everyone suddenly cowers in your presence every time you pass by them.

Except for Heqet, who knows you are kind.

After two days of the accident, you decided to visit the infirmary with Tetisheri.

The moment you enter the healing area, you are met with the sight of a few physicians chatting with each other.

At the first glance, you immediately know who Matvei is.

Because he has shoulder-length brown hair, which looks like it's going through a crisis of dryness.

But that doesn't make him look less beautiful, no, especially when he has grey eyes and a nice smile.

But his eyes are kind of scary.

Unlike Tutankhamun's which is warm brown-

You can't believe you are comparing the two young men.

"He is very beautiful, isn't he?" Heqet points out, with a blush appearing on her cheeks.

Suddenly, you feel like you don't want to speak to Matvei, feeling like it's a stupid thing to do.

But, it was already too late as the physicians noticed you.

They bow their heads in respect, realising who you are.

Except for Matvei who only rolls his eyes at you.

Well, everyone in the palace knows who you are by now.

"Is there anything we can help you with?"

The oldest one of the physicians inquires politely.

"Yes, I wish to have a check up on my daughter to know about her health." you reply.

Once again, the foreigner rolls his eyes, making you frown.

"Of course, as you wish, my queen."

It's insane that people call you 'queen' when you haven't even married the pharaoh yet.

"I want him to do the check up." You declare, looking at Matvei who seems to be shocked.

"Me?" the said man points at himself.

"Yes, you, the one who keeps rolling his eyes at me." You tease him with a fake smile.

Matvei's pale skin turns red at your words, realising that you have caught on to his rude behaviour.

"So, you are from modern time like me, Matvei?"

The man's eyes grow big at your statement as he examines Tetisheri.

"What year are you from?"

"2024, what about you?" you reply.

"1966...did you also get transported here as an experiment?"

"Experiment for what?"

"A time machine, the Soviet union has developed it." he explained proudly.

"A time machine?" you blink in surprise, trying to process this information.

"I didn't realize it could be an experiment, I thought I got isekaied here with magic or something."

Matvei chuckles, shaking his head.

"Magic is just science we don't understand yet, but tell me, what is an isekai?"

"It is a Japanese sub-genre for traveling to another world."

"I believe time traveling is a better term for our situation...also how are things in the future?"

You dreaded this question as you believe you shouldn't tell him anything about the future of his country.

But you answer him anyway, knowing that can't do anything about it to change the events.

"The Soviet Union has fallen."

Suddenly you get grabbed by both your arms tightly, and painfully.

His eyes is filled with disbelief.

"You lie, this is impossible, the Soviet Union is the best power in the world!"

The loud noise made Tetisheri whimper, also attracting the attention of your handmaiden, Heqet who rushes over.

"Have you lost your mind, how dare you harm the future queen of Egypt!"

Heqet reported Matvei's behaviour to Tutankhamun whom in return ordered that the physician be brought to him and forced on his knees.

"I gave you a chance at my palace and you dare to harm my family." the pharaoh sneers at the man.

Knowing that Tutankhamun might order the execution of Matvei like he did with Merit, you quickly come to his defence.

"Heqet misunderstood the situation, Matvei is my brother."

You get down on your knees beside the Russian and hug him while looking up at Tutankhamun.

"If you order his execution, I might die, my pharaoh."

Tutankhamun grits his teeth, feeling jealous at your interaction with the man.

"Fine, but next time I will not be merciful."

You smile gently at Tutankhamun.

"So generous as always, my beloved."

Leaning towards Matvei, you whisper in his ear.

"You owe me, dear brother."
