"Do you want to marry Tutankhamun?"

"Yes."

"Stop lying, you cannot be joking about such a matter, he is ugly and evil."

Matvei and you sit by a pond, while Tetisheri sits on your lap, playing with a lotus flower.

"I'm not lying, Matvei, Tutankhamun is not that bad of a person, and he is not ugly."

"He beheaded someone, and was about to behead me."

"And? This is ancient times, you only need to act right around the Pharaoh and you will be safe."

"Tutankhamun loves you, this is why he is treating you kindly, not because you are acting right around him."

You know that Matvei has a point.

"Oh God, I miss my social media accounts." you whine, remembering all of a sudden your social life.

"Social Media accounts?"

The young man is confused by the term, still unaware of how advanced the future has become.

"It's a place where people from all around the world chat with each other and make posts about their problems and daily lives and their opinion." you explain.

Matvei stays silent for a moment before speaking with a look of disgust.

"So, it's a place for mentally ill people to connect."

Your mouth drops, feeling offended by his words.

"What? No...well maybe Tiktok is like that, but the rest of the social media is amazing...kind of."

"I already don't like the future."

"How are you going to return the favour you owe me for saving you?" You ask, changing the subject.

Matvei turns his gaze towards you, the corners of his mouth lifting up to form a small smirk.

"I don't have anything to give to you except for..." he trails off.

"It better not be sexual favours." you assert, causing the man to chuckle.

"I have given many women sexual favours and they enjoyed it."

Matvei saying that with a straight face made you blush.

"You do really want to have your head cut off, don't you?"

"Worth the try, maybe the favour could be saved for later if you ever get bored with your husband."

"You know what? I don't need you to repay the favour, thank you."

"I'm leaving to the west of Egypt next week to help the medics there, if you want, you can run away if you don't wish to marry him."

Tetisheri giggles from her place on your lap, as she rips out the blue lotus flower petals.

"This is madness, I'm not risking it."
