"I love you Mum & Dad" I said over FaceTime to my parents as was sitting on my hotel bed, packing the last few bits into my cabin suitcase. "Safe flight kiddo, let us know when you get there", I heard them say back to me. We then all blew kisses through the screen.

I uploaded the photo to my Instagram story and headed out of my hotel room. You'll come to know that I am obsessed with Instagram. It's like my journal.
I posted my door key card through the slot on the reception desk and started walking towards the busy departure terminal.
This. Is. It.
I always wanted to live in the USA. My family and I travelled to different states every year since I was 1 years old, partly because of their company and partly because we all enjoyed being over there. I felt drawn to the way of life and that was when I decided I would move over to start a whole new life.
My true calling in life was tattooing, I was very good at it and I wanted my own studio more than anything. In the UK, the tattooing industry is far too saturated so I took this opportunity to begin planning my new life in the US. I studied so hard and got my art degree and Bachelor's degree in Business. I also began my Master's Degree in Business Studies but I wanted to transfer to a Business University in the US to complete my final year. I have a year's experience as a tattoo apprentice and now all I need is to graduate at the end of this year with my Master's degree in Business and Management, then I will finally have everything in order to reach my dream.
My family owns a very successful Tech company but it wasn't something I wanted to take over. My older brother Nathan, has always wanted to oversee the 'Lawes Business' so it all worked out perfectly. He would take over the family business then I had the chance to branch out and do my own thing. I have enough money to open my studio, when I'm ready and enough money to see me through this year without having to work part time, which I am incredibly grateful for. I worked my ass off at my old job and put it all into my savings, I have inheritance from my Grandparents and some money from my families business put aside so I can really get my head down and study. I am so close to the end now and I need to graduate.
"Caramel Latte with Soya Milk for Allie" a gorgeous blonde barista shouted from behind the Starbucks counter. She had piercing blue eyes. She had a lovely figure that I could see from the way she pulled her green apron around her waist. As I grabbed my coffee I slowly looked her up and down and a small smirk edged at the corners of my lips. She watched as I did this, she began to blush fully and started giggling all nervously. I winked, turned around and started walking to my gate.
Women are my weakness and I love flirting. I just can't help it. I always knew I was gay, boys never interested me. I prefer having boys as mates.
Gate 19 - "Now rows 10-21, please make your way to the departure gate to begin boarding."The ground assistant announced over the speaker. That was me, I boarded the plane and sat down in the aisle seat. I put my headphones in and began listening to music. Flying never bothers me, in fact I quite enjoy it and find it very relaxing. I quickly took a photo and uploaded it to my Instagram before we took off...

My flight went by so quickly, I listened to my music and a few podcasts, I ate and slept. We finally landed and it was late into the afternoon. I went through security without a hitch and I got an uber from outside the terminal. As we were driving to my new apartment , I took in the all the sights of my brand new city, it was a warm feeling to believe that I am here starting my dream life.
The golden hour lighting made everything look surreal, the sun is at a low angle in between the high rise buildings which casted long shadows, it looks like a music video. It was a lot different than the dreary weather back in England, I thought to myself. The Uber driver was playing: Location by Dave and Burna Boy. This just added to this life changing moment for me. I am checking my maps on my phone and it seems I am just about to arrive at my new home. I quickly texted my family to tell them I landed and was doing okay.
Family Chat - Mum, Dad and Nathan: Me: Hi guys, I have landed safe and sound. Just about to arrive at my new apartment. Love you all. Xx

When we pulled into the car park, I looked up to take in the view of my new unit. It was very modern with good amenities and everything was in a walkable distance. I was so excited and it fitted my lifestyle. I took my heavy suitcases out the car and I dragged them up to the front door of my new apartment. I punched in the code *3315* into the keypad, it beeped, then flashed green, allowing me permission to go in, I pushed the front door open.
