*Christina's POV*

It's Monday morning and I'm driving into work. I made sure Allie was settled at home with some homework and painkillers whilst I complete my morning classes. I'll head back home between classes later to check in on her.

I still can't believe how brave she was yesterday, giving her statement to the cops. I know what she went through was bad but it truly shocked me hearing exactly what happened step by step. Hearing her say she thought he was going to kill her broke my heart and I couldn't help but cry for her.

After the detectives left, I made us both dinner and we watched a movie on the sofa with Blake. We cuddled all night. She didn't let me go all night. It was the cutest thing ever. I knew she really needed me.

We put Allie's SIM card into my old IPhone 15 that I had spare. It makes her super happy that she is able to call and text her family, friends and me. She phoned her family last night and told them about everything that's happened. They immediately booked a flight to come out to see her. They support her so much. It's lovely to see. They are arriving next Wednesday and are staying for a few days in a local hotel. It will good for her to see them.

Since I left about 25 minutes ago, she hasn't stopping texting me. *Ping* I hear my phone go off...

Allie
Christina, I already miss you. Blake also says hi.

Me
I miss you both too. I'll be home soon. When I'm home this afternoon, we will go over your assignment for the week. You have tests next week so you need to prepare. There's coffee already brewed. Get to it.

Allie
Yes Ma'm.🫡 Quick question... are you going to give me another one of your special assignments?

Me
God, you're annoying. Get on with it Miss Lawes.

This girl doesn't stop. It's nice that she's more like herself this morning. I think speaking to her family really helped. I will continue doing everything in my power to support her.

My morning lesson went by quickly. I think it's because I have so much on my mind right now. It's 11:30am so I was going to head home to check in with Allie however she texted me saying she's okay and that I don't need to come home to check on her. She sent me a photo of myself taking her medication so I know she's okay. I decided to head to my office and catch up on marking so I can be ahead as much as possible.

I head to my 12:30pm class now which is Allie's class. As I start my lesson. It's weird not seeing her here. The lesson goes by well. The students are getting all their mid term tests done. The bell rings and everyone heads out.

I go to grab my stuff and head home but someone stops me by grabbing my arm.

"Um hi Miss Powers can I talk to you for a moment please?." I hear a voice from behind me.

I turn around and it's Cayleigh.

"Oh hi Cayleigh. Yes of course. What's up?" I ask her.

"We heard that Allie is staying with you at the moment. Dylan, the boys and I were wondering if we could come and see her. Maybe this Friday after class? She's been texting us but it would be nice to actually see her." She asks. I can see that she looks sad. I think seeing Allie so vulnerable the other night really affected her.

I think about it a moment.

"Yes of course you can. Allie would love that. I'll give you my details and you can come Friday afternoon." I say calmly. She needs some support right now.

"Thanks so much. We would love that." She smiles.

"I'll see you tomorrow Cayleigh. Well done for completing the test today by the way." I say walking about the door.

I head home with all my marking and paperwork that I need to complete later. I open the door and Allie immediately jumps into my arms hugging me.

"Wow, did someone miss me today?" I say chuckling.

"Yes I missed you so much" she says climbing down from my arms.

"I made you an Oat Milk Latte and some food. It's in the kitchen." She says pulling me towards the kitchen.

"Thank you sweetheart. This is lovely." I say sitting at the island eating and drinking.

I can see she got herself showered and she washed her hair. She's swearing grey sweats and a lace cami top. She always looks so effortless and beautiful. She sits next to me at the kitchen island.

"I would rather you wait for me to get home before you get into the shower yourself. I need to make sure you don't fall or something." I say noticing her wet hair.

"I'm fine honestly. If I need you, I'll call you." She says smiling at me.

"You need to leave your bandage off your eye now. I'll make sure it stays clean and dry." I say stroking her face.

I wish I could take this all from her. All the physical and emotional pain she's feeling.

"Hey um Cayleigh asked if she and the boys could come see you on Friday afternoon. How does that sound?" I say.

"Oh my god really? What here?" She says.

"Yes here silly. You can't go out at the moment. You need to stay in just until you heal a little more sweetheart. We can't afford you to get into an accident or anything. Your eye needs to heal first. Your friends are all welcome here. I just need to remember I can't have my hands all over you in front of them." I say smiling at her.

"Omg thank you, thank you, thank you Christina!" She says jumping out and down and kissing my cheek. I can tell she's really misses her friends.

I just chuckle at her. "We will go over your assignment work today and then I'm going to head out to see Amber and Ella this evening. Will you be okay on your own?" I ask her.

"Yes of course I'll be fine Christina. If I need you, I'll call you. I'm going to do some designing anyway. I'm feeling inspired." She says with a smile on her face. I know she likes to have some time on her own when she draws.

After eating, I go over the assignment work with Allie and she gets on with it. I jump in the shower and get ready to meet up with the girls. I arrive at a bar where Amber and Ella are there waiting for me already with a cocktail. Give it to me.

We all caught up about what's been going on in their lives. I told them everything about what happened with Allie and I started crying, reliving the memories of finding her like that. They couldn't believe what he did to her. The girls were amazing and supported Allie and I. They said if I or Allie needs anything then we can lean on them. They really are the bestest friends in the whole world. We were out for the rest of the evening and the I headed home to see my girl.

When I got home, the house was quiet. Blake was in his bed. I creep upstairs and head into my bedroom. Allie is sleeping soundly, she left my Pj's out on my side of the bed. She put a bottle of water on my bedside table for me along with my glasses and book. She's the cutest. It's the little things. After I get ready for bed, I climb in behind Allie and shuffle next to her kissing her neck from behind, spooning her. Even though she's asleep her body automatically arches back so she fits like a glove with my body. It makes my heart flutter. Her body just reacts to me.
