I woke up late this morning. I manage to quickly get a workout in before jumping in the shower and getting ready for class. I throw on a tight fitted off the shoulder black dress. I pair it with my black and white hi-top converse.

I practically have to run to class and I just about make it before Miss Powers locks the door. I practically fall through the door causing everyone to stare at me. Yes I know, if I didn't post on Instagram I would have made up more time but I'm here, just about.
"Miss Lawes, it's nice for you to finally join us." Miss Powers says in her ice cold tone. Some students laughed.
She slowly walks over to me staring at me with that look again. Damn, the air is thick in here.
"Oh yea I'm so sorry. Traffic was bad this morning." I said taking my seat in the front row and putting my laptop and notebook onto my desk.
She raises her eyebrow at me. "Miss Lawes where do you live?" She asks in front of the whole class.
I cross one leg over the other. "Saint Stephen Street Miss Powers." I answer her question.
She tilts her head in an almost sarcastic way looking confused. That merciless look was crossing her eyes and my heart started beating so fast. Fuckkkkkkk I'm in for it now.
"Right, Saint Stephen Street? Hmmmm" She stalks over to me leaning down on my desk causing me to back up in my seat.
"Don't you dare bullshit me Miss Lawes. Saint Stephen Street is a 10 minute walk from here at most. There's no traffic. That's your first strike! Let this be your first and last warning. If you are late again or lie to me I'll fail you. Is that clear?" She stated, not missing a single syllable.
All I can hear are whispers from the other students. "Ohhhh she's in deep shit now." "I wouldn't want to be her right now." "Damnnn she's got on the wrong side of her."
I wasn't even late. I could feel anger start to build inside me.
I lean onto my desk so I was looking straight into her eyes challenging her back. "Yessss, you are crystal clear. Miss." I said in an annoyed tone.
She backs up and walks toward the board.
"AND if I hear that attitude again I'll give you a week's detention and we can talk it about it in your own time. Is that what you want?" She asks with her back towards me.
Why is she being like this today. What the hell did I do? We were fine yesterday.
"Well obviously not..." I said quietly looking down.
"Speak up Miss Lawes so we can all hear you. You are wasting everyone's time!" She shouted through greeted teeth.
I could feel a fire light in my stomach. What the fuck is her problem?
