Tamazuki : this mission is close by...

Kakashi and gai were both reaching the destination when they heard loud female scream.
" Aaaahhhh !!!! "
Gai ; Ooi. Kakashi. That scream...
Kakashi: we've got to hurry.

The three of them reaches the scene and there was a strong pungent blood smell. But that was not all they saw.
There were corpses laid everywhere.
Gai ; this... All... Mai ?
Tamazuki: shouldn't we try looking for her ?
The three of them looked everywhere and tamazuki finds her " over here !!"
She was covered in blood and on the ground with her eyes opened.
Gai: mai. Mai !! Is she okay ? Why is she not responding?
Tamazuki: maybe she's... Too shocked ?
Kakashi: mai . Did you do all this ?
Her eyes shifted to Kakashi . Then she sat up.
Gai ; mai... Are you okay ?
Mai: .... Mission incomplete... My teammates... I hid them in a cave nearby. They're hurt. I asked for help... Please help them.
Kakashi: tamazuki. Gai. Go help them.
" Got it. " Tamazuki answers and gai goes with him.
Kakashi: Ooi. What happened ?
Mai looks to her hands " I'm scary... 30 of them... I killed... All of them... "
Kakashi: you protected your teammates.
" .... No... I just hid them there. I... Thought this ... Ah. Killing is so easy. One swing of my kunai... One drawing slice. He's dead. Another one. Another one... " She looked to her hands stained with blood " I'm... Dirty... The war never really passed for any of us. Kakashi."
Kakashi: you needed to stay alive.

Kakashi takes out a bandage then starts to press her wound on her left rib. She winced a little " I didn't notice..."
Kakashi: it's bleeding very badly. You need to bandage it.
Mai ; arigatou...
" You're troublesome." He starts to help her to bandage.

" Mai. You're ok. Are you hurt in any way ?" Her team mate Aries asked.
" What happened?" Her taichou, Bei asked. " You're ... Bloody."
Mai: ah gomen. I'll go take a wash
Kakashi: she killed all 30 of them.
Bei; Sighs. So more than one wave came. And she killed all of them ?
Kakashi: it seems so.
Bei : That's... Really strong for her age.
Aries ; I thought she was crazy for saying to handle it alone.
Kakashi: how did you get hurt ?
Gai : it was very severe.
Tamazuki; Broke bones in a few places and internal bleeding. Mai placed some sort of seal to stop some places of bleeding. It acted like some sort of plaster.
Aries ; it's my fault. Taichou was trying to save me.
Bei: the mission was to take a scroll for intelligence. The place was tightly guarded. But we managed to enter successfully. To only discover once we were inside , it was all a trap. We were surrounded.
Kakashi: you couldn't win so you got hurt ?
Tamazuki: that doesn't make sense... Seeing what Yukisaki could do.
Aries: there was one very strong ninja who stopped us from leaving. I got hurt fighting him and was about to die when taichou came in and saved me.
Gai : I see. So the both of you got hurt in the process.
Mai came back " we abandoned the scroll. And I realised they had released more people after us."
Gai: I see. So we go back konoha now ?
Kakashi: she said mission incomplete. We should try to take it back.
Tamazuki: yondaime said help and support her. Our mission is complete.
Gai ; don't be like that. We should help her complete hers too.
Mai ; if it's with you two. I think we can do it.
Tamazuki: ignoring me ? I mean I don't mind staying back to tend the sick.
Gai ; no !!! You're part of the team !! We should do it together !!
