Kakashi: you... Intending to get drunk ?
Mai : my one week break got extended. Sandaime wouldn't let me go on missions. Said I must get stuff sorted out. Don't know what he's talking about.
Kakashi: mai. I never thanked you.
Mai: for what ? Helping you ? I should get a commission. Or some salary from you. Seriously.
Kakashi: not that. Sensei asked you to help me return home. You helped me. I returned home.
Mai : oh that... I got free lodging so don't worry about it.
Kakashi: eh ?! That was the exchange?

Kakashi: people's memories are forever too.
She laughed a little " you're so funny. That person who remembers you will die too. Everyone will die... One day not exist... One day disappear... Unless you're the hokage. Your face is carved up there. " She burped and turned on her side to lie on her arm.
Kakashi: so you don't want people to disappear.
Mai : I hope they stay as long as I want to remember them for.
Kakashi: I can do that for you. Stay as long as you want to remember me for. So can you promise me not to put yourself in danger?
Mai ; I'm protecting others.
Kakashi; trust your team mates. You know they're strong. They can protect you like you can protect them.
Mai looks up into the starry sky once again " I want my team to die of old age. You think that's possible?"
Kakashi; your team includes you. If you stop worrying about them getting hurt. I'm sure they can do more then you think. You're over protective. If you die right from the start , who's going to command them? They will surely die too.
Mai ; mmm... You're not supposed to make so much sense... kakashi... You promise ?
Kakashi: hm ? About staying very long ? I have to. You will starve without me.
Mai laughed then sits up " promise ?"
Kakashi: promise.
" Then ! To seal the deal !" She pulled down his masks and kisses him on his lips. She asks for entrance with his tongue gently.
He allowed and cupped her head as he continued the kiss.
He releases after a while " Mai Mai..."
" Then that's a promise !" She lies back down and closes her eyes.

Kakashi: morning.
She yawns " oh. Sunrise. That's beautiful. "
Kakashi: you remembered your promise ?
She sees her hands shake again " I remember. The promise. But you know I like the fun too. See... The body wants it... "
Kakashi: even if it's fun.
