13: Adrenaline Rush

Kakashi saw tenzo outside her apartment " Tenzo ?"

Tenzo; Kakashi senpai.

Kakashi: she's in the hospital again ?

" Hai. " Tenzo inserts the key and on the lock appeared some seals and stretched out to the keys. It verify it was correct and it unlocks.

Tenzo opens it and enters . Kakashi followed him in " how bad is it ?"

Tenzo : a few fractures. She had been holding on since the start of the first mission. It caused internal bleeding a few times. Tamazuki had to patch her up a few times.

Kakashi: she was out since... A month ago right ?

Tenzo; Hai. Refused to report to sandaime about it. So Tamazuki and I sneakily sent a report back.

Tenzo opens her drawer and starts to pack a change " last support mission. Wouldn't be difficult she said. Sandaime agreed as well."

Tenzo ; not yet. I don't have much things that I'm worried about.

Tenzo ; she don't want me to clean it. The ones she left on the hook are the wishes she already completed. The ones with family , she returned the dog tags to them. Kakashi senpai. Did mai senpai give you a dog tag ?

Kakashi: I'm the first one she gave it to. I was once her team mate. Told me to write only one last wish. No bargaining.

Tenzo laughed a little " see. Even Mai senpai thinks you are too much."

Kakashi: these anbus... They all have no family. One day maybe I'll be here too ?

Tenzo : no. You won't die so easily.

Kakashi; you think so highly of me.

Kakashi: Mai. Hey.

Mai : no mission tomorrow? That nice to come see me.

Kakashi: I always come see you.

Mai ; you're always giving me missions. You should come see me.

Tenzo : your things are here. I'm going back then.

Mai : um. Arigatou. Rest well.

Tenzo leaves. Kakashi takes a seat " parents will come tomorrow?"

Mai : I never tell them.

Kakashi: are you doing ok ?

Mai ; what are you talking about? I'm alive aren't I ?

He flips the blanket open and sees her hand shaking " it's getting more serious."

Mai ; leave it... I'll be fine...

Kakashi: don't do something stupid Mai. I don't want to be collecting your dog tag.

Kakashi: I just came back. Sandaime.

Hiruzen ; you've rested for three days. You can do this.

Kakashi takes the scroll " I have something else."

Hiruzen ; what is it ?

Kakashi: it's about Mai.

Hiruzen: she's in the hospital. One week break. Fractured in a few places was really under playing it.

Kakashi: yea...

Hiruzen: you're concerned she's suicidal ? All her teammates come home fine. But just her. Severely injured all the time.

Kakashi: I don't think she's suicidal... More like... She enjoys putting herself in danger for the rush.

Hiruzen ; is that so ? Why do you think that ?

Kakashi: everytime she comes back and rests. Her hand shakes. But the moment she's on a mission, it stops shaking.

Hiruzen ; sounds like a post traumatic disorder. But nothing bad to her happened recently...

Kakashi: I think... She never returned from the war. Sandaime. I'm worried. I almost didn't return. She helped me.

Hiruzen : you're saying she liked the adrenaline rush of the war so much she missed it ?

Kakashi: I think so.

Hiruzen ; what do you want me to do ?

Kakashi: ban her from missions. Just for a while until she gets better.

Hiruzen: you're worried she'll actually die one day because she puts herself in danger.

Kakashi; Hai.

Hiruzen: I see you're very concerned. But unfortunately, Mai is too capable for me to totally put her on a ban. She stopped a lot of Danzou's plans for me. I will keep an eye on her.
