The Foundation was attacking her apartment. The entire front wall was already taken apart by the many jutsus used. Fire. Water. Lightning. Wind.
But there barrier stood. It was like a transparent wall with seal writings written across it. One could see her sitting in a corner leaning against the wall.
No one knew if she was still hanging on or already dead.

" Sandaime. He's out with the team on the mission. Mai went alone for this mission. "
Hiruzen ; damn it !! How about Kakashi?!! What's his last report ?!! Is he nearby ?
Just then Kakashi enters the office " sandaime. I'm back."
Hiruzen ; you're back !! That's great !! Bring some anbu with you. You need to stop the Foundation
Kakashi: I got it. I'll go call Mai and her team.

Kakashi and sandaime was behind the Foundation attacking the front door of the house. They had brought anbu along with them.
Hiruzen : enough!! Stop now and I'll pretend nothing ever happened.
" orders are orders. Sandaime. Gomen."
Then Danzou appears on the rooftop " hiruzen. Leave this alone. She's no loyal shinobi."
Kakashi: could you first get off my roof ? Also , all that destroying of her wall is starting to crack mine too.
Danzou; Kakashi !! Making jokes. You must know what she did. Are you defending her ?
Kakashi: I don't believe she's a traitor. That's what you're saying right ?
Danzou : that's right.
Kakashi: I don't believe it. She has done more things to prove that she loves this village than prove she's a traitor.
Danzou: she's just a mission junkie !!
Hiruzen; danzou. Take your people and leave immediately !! Kakashi has the key. We will investigate on our own end. Whether or not if she's a traitor.
Danzou; no. You open the door. Give her to us.
It was now a standstill.
" Dan... Zou !!!!! "
All attention looked into the apartment.
Hiruzen ; that voice...
Kakashi: Mai...
Mai ; let them take me !! Or I will tell them the secret on your arm !!!
Danzou; ..... .... Hiruzen. You won't play bias right ?
Hiruzen ; of course not. If she's done what you said she's done. I'll expel her or worse.
Danzou and his people leave.

Kakashi enters his apartment.
Hiruzen : from here ?
Kakashi: Mai is sneaky. She placed the lock face on my wall.
Hiruzen: that's smart.
Kakashi goes to find the scroll he hid in a secret corner. He opens it and places the scroll on the wall. The scroll automatically connects it to the wall showing the lock itself. Kakashi puts his palm onto the circle and it eats a little bit of his chakra.
It recognises him and opens it up.
" And then... " Kakashi uses raikiri to punch a whole in the wall and destroy it into half.
" Mai." He runs in to her and sat by her side. She was bleeding from a few places.
Mai : I'm not sure if I would survive... I feel kind of stupid locking myself inside here now...
Hiruzen ; Bring her in and call the medical ninja.
" Hai. " The two anbu put both her arms around them. One of them asked " Mai senpai. Could you stand ?"
Mai ; Gomen... Can't... Wait... Sandaime... Gate... *Blacks out*
The two anbu brings her off.
Kakashi: I will go. Sandaime.
Hiruzen ; onegaishimasu.

Kakashi goes to one of the gate and found a little girl alone by the wall. She wore a big hat that came with a veil that didn't fit her that well. It was oversized.
Kakashi: hey.
" Hello."
Kakashi; I'm Kakashi.
" Ok."
Kakashi squats down to her height " are you waiting for someone ?"
" That's not your business."
Kakashi: could that person be Mai ?
" Do you know her full name and favourite food ?"
Kakashi: Yukisaki Mai. Her favourite food is ... pie.
" You're the nii-san she asked me to wait for !"
Kakashi : then , let's go.

Kakashi has returned to anbu headquarters with a small girl.
Hiruzen : she's the one Mai wanted us to find ? What's your name ? Little girl.
" Akko."
Hiruzen: A nee-san brought you here ?
Akko ; nee-san ! She's ok ?!! She was hurt so badly trying to protect me !!
Hiruzen; she's under our care. Do you know what happened?
Akko shakes her head " she protected me. She was hurt very badly because of that."

Akko ; a bunch of ninjas !
Kakashi: anything else she said ?
Akko ; she also said that a nii-san will come get me after she entered the village. I will be safe. As long as he's able to say nee-san's full name and favourite food. I can trust him !!
Hiruzen: then, do you know why those ninjas are after you ?
Akko ; nee-san wouldn't tell me. Can I see nee-san ?
Hiruzen: she's healing currently. Don't worry . We'll take care of you.
Akko hid behind Kakashi.
Kakashi: it's ok. This is sandaime. A person stronger than me. Stronger than nee-san. He's trustable.
