(Song for the chapter: What is love - Jaymes Young cover.)

Jennifer POV

"Dear Diary,

The rain hasn't stopped yet. It has been 3 days. 3 DAYS! We still have no electricity, and my mom doesen't dare to drive home yet, which I understand. I mean, if it continues to rain like this, I think we'll drown by Monday. But oh, what can we do?

I honestly don't know why I decided to write in you after 4 years of absence, but I guess the sound of thunder is really fucking with my head, hahah. Why did I write hahah, I didn't even move a muscle in my face? Now I'm having a discussion with myself. Great.

Why are there coffee-stains all over this book? I didn't drink coffee when I was a child, did I. Hold up, I have to check. Nope, hated it. I guess this is one mysteries that no one will ever solve.

Talking about mysteries, me and Josh is kind of a mystery right now. I can't call him, he can't call me, it's an evil circle. God damn you, storm. I swear, this is not my week. Firstly, we don't have any electricity, and second, the rain won't stop pouring down on us, and since we don't have any electricity (because of the storm) we can't check for any updates on the weather-situation. Ugh.

Honestly though, I'm worried. I know I can trust him and stuff, but he's still Josh. No offense, but that "reputation" of him is still in the back of my head. What if this is all in my head though? What if he hates my guts? What if he's doing this to get in my pants? What if..."

The sound of lights getting turned on, breaks my focus, and my head snaps up from the old journal. The lamp on my bedside table blinks a few times, and then the light is shining through the little glass bulb. At first, I don't think much about it, but then it hits me, and before I know it, my grandpa's voice is booming through the house.

"The electricity is back!"

I jump up from the bed, running towards my purse in the corner of the room. Or more precisely, god charger and phone inside the purse. I reach it, and empty the whole purse on the ground, not caring about the mess. I frantically search for my charger and phone, and when I finally find them, I skip back to my bed. I plug in the charger, and so on the phone, and after a few seconds of being terrified, the phone lights up. I almost scream in pure happiness. When the phone is on, I unlock it, and go straight to contacts, then Josh. I click call, and hold it up to my ear. He picks up on the second ring

"Oh my god Jennifer hi!" Josh's voice sounds through the phone. I smile. He sounds so relieved, and it makes me happy that he was so worried about me.

"Hi Josh! God I miss you!"

"I miss you too! Why haven't you called? Why haven't I've been able to call you?" He stresses.

"The storm cut out the electricity, but now we got it back, and oh my god, I wanna go home."

"When are you coming back?" He asks,

"Tomorrow."

"You wanna hang out tomorrow?" He says. I hear someone say something in the background.

"... Well I'm sorry, but I'm hanging out with my girlfriend tomorrow..." He's obviously not talking to me, who is he talking to?

"...I know the deal, we can just do it now... Don't make me regret it..."

He's probably just talking to Connor about soccer or something.

"If you have plans tomorrow, we can wait until the day after. It's no problem, I don't wanna interrupt anything." I try to say.

"I hear shuffling, and the phone is snapped from Josh, I'm guessing.

"Thank you Jennifer, he will se you on Monday. Byebye."

That wasn't Josh.

And that wasn't Connor.

That was a girl on my age.
