Josh POV

"Why the hell would you do that?! I was talking to her!" I practically scream at Claudia when she hanged up.

"Cause we have a mission, and you promised." She says with a pout plastered on her face. "Let's go to the park, the lightning in my room is terrible, and I want it to look more 'in the moment'. Don't you?"

"I don't care. Lets just get it over with, before I change my mind." God, I really don't wanna do this, but I made a promise.

She starts to go down the stairs, and I quickly follow, without hesitation, The quicker we can do this, the quicker I can leave and never talk to her again.

We get to the bottom of the stairs, and we put on shoes. The smell of freshly baked bread is all over the house, and I can hear humming from the kitchen.

"My mom is a baker." Claudia answers my thoughts. "BYE MOM!" She yells, and we go. The walk to the park is a little over 30 minutes, and I try to walk as quick I can.

We get to the park, and Claudia walks to a bench close to the main road. "Okay, let's go." She mumbles, as she pulls out her phone. I sit down next to her, and she immediately scoops closer to me. I shift uncomfortably in my seat as she places her left hand on my thigh.

"Ready?" I nod, but truth is I am anything from ready. She holds her phone up in front of us, and before I can think, she crashes down on me, her lips on mine, her taste of mint on my lips. I freeze, and don't know what to do. I can hear a camera click. We stay for what seems like an eternity, before  a gasp snaps me back to reality. I open my eyes, and lean back. I turn to where the gasp came from, and my blood freezes to ice. There stands no other than my beloved girlfriend, Jennifer Shrader Lawrence.

Who I basically just cheated on.

She opens her mouth to speak, but closes is again.

"Jennifer, hi!" Claudia voice breaks the silence.

"H... Hello?" She says, and her voice breaks in the middle of the sentence. Tears fills her eyes, and threaten to spill over her waterline, who's already glistening with water.

"How are you? Josh told me you were at your grandparents house! How are they?" Claudia continues to talk. SHUT UP!

"I... I have to go." Jennifer chokes, as she turns around.

"Jennifer, wait!" I stand up, and try to reach out for her. She turns around, now with mascara smeared down her cheeks, and looks me straight in the eye. She reaches up to me with her hand, and on her hand, a middle finger stood straight. I vince, and she turns around again, and runs away from us. I just stand there. She reach a car standing close to the main road, and hop in. The car takes off and continues down the road.

"Wow." A voice comes from behind me. I can hear movement, and a hand is put on my shoulder. I quickly brush it away, and turn to look at her. She stands there, a smug grin on her face.

"Why the hell are you smiling?! You basically just broke me and Jennifer up!"

"Wow wow wow. Slow down there lover boy, I didn't break anyone up. YOU didn't have to agree to this. It was you alone who said yes, even though you knew about the consequences. Don't put this one on me."

And in that moment, I realize that she's right.

I chose to do this.

I chose to help her.

I created this mess myself.

And there's probably no way I'll be able to fix this.
