Leo had passed out... It had happened all so fast Mikey couldn't process it. There was shouting... Raph was on the communicator with April and Dad, Donnie had his googles down and was analysing Leo's injuries. Leo had fainted in their arms during the hug. What was wrong? What is happening?

Mikey.

Couldn't.

Tell.

Everything seemed to move so fast paced that one moment they were on Staten island the next they were in a truck driving home. Where had the truck come from? Donnie was bent over his older brother, talking to him, telling him to wake up... Begging almost. That wasn't like Dee.

Mikey sat up against the side of the truck feeling as though the ground had been ripped from him. He was crying when had he started crying? This didn't make sense... Leo was out if the prison dimension. Leo was safe. Wasn't he?

Raph was next to him telling him words of comfort all Mikey heard was 'Leo will be ok, he's survived worse' had he though? He'd never fainted like this before. Mikey was worried about his favorite brother, they had had good times together. What if that was over?

Raph placed a hand on Mikey's shoulder, more muffled words that slowly faded into silence as Mikey spiraled deeper into thoughts he didn't want to think.

Mikey stayed in that state for however long it took to get home, he wasn't usually like this. Usually he'd be the one convincing his brothers the blue turtle would be ok. But something was different this time... What if it was Mikey's fault. Would this have been the outcome if Mikey had gotten him out of the prison dimension sooner?

Or would things be entirely different if him and Donnie hadn't been thrown from that building. Maybe Leo would've never had needed to sacrifice himself. Maybe everything would have gone according to plan. Or maybe... things would be worse.

Once they had arrived back at the sewers, Raph carefully pick Leo up almost on a bridal style way. Donnie and Raph rushed off to the med bay. Things were bad. Mikey could tell.

Mikey went to follow, if there was anything he could do...

"Mikey?" The voice sounded distant, it was familiar though, April.

"Hmm?" He hummed, still staring off towards the medbay. When he noticed April's hand on his shoulder preventing him from going down after his older brothers.

"Maybe you should stay back here with me and splints?" April suggested. He was tempted, Mikey was exhausted. Opening that portal had taken a toll on him physically, and spiritually, he could tell something was different about his ninpo he wasn't sure what though.

Mikey gave in, he wouldn't be of much help if he was exhausted. If he slept, by the time he'd wake up Leo would be up. He was sure of it.

...

Leo wasn't up when Mikey woke. Leo wasn't up for a long while. Mikey woke up to someone shaking him gently, he opened his eyes and saw Donnie.

"Dee? What happened? How's Leo?" Mikey asked. The purple turtle shook his head, tears leaking down his face. Before getting swiftly wiped away.

"I don't know what happened to him in the prison dimension Micheal, but he's got some internal bleeding... I've done what I can it should be enough. But I can't promise anything. He's in a coma." Donnie sniffed "He has some head trauma and his cuts are probably from the mech the Kraang used... But I don't know"

Mikey had never heard Donnie this concerned and agitated. Donnie was scratching himself, lines across his arms from anxious scratching was apparent. Donnie wasn't wearing his battle shell either.
