Chapter 2

I sighed as the teacher went on about the rank's and Lombardy.

"Young Lady! Listen carefully this will be in the quiz" The teacher Miss Diana huffed I shook my head
"sorry Miss I was just lost in thought" i muttered
"well you should be sorry, now who is at the bottom rank?" She asked "a baron" I replied firmly "then?" "A viscount, Count, Marquis Margrave, Duke and the Emperor" I listed it "perfect and Lombardy is where on this period?" Diana asked "where higher than a normal duke but lower than the Emperor so just in between" i said "good who is the emperors family?" Miss Diana finally said  "that's easy! The emperor Jovanes Durelli the empress Lavini Angenas Durelli the first prince Astana Nerempe Durelli and the second prince Perez Brivachau Durelli" I named "good since you seem distracted today why don't we stop here" Miss Diana said I smiled "Yes I'll make sure to do the homework don't worry!" I said standing up Miss Diana smiled back her long ginger red hair curled and dressed with jewellery and gold eyes that seemed to glint in the sunlight "then I'll see you in two days Lady Rossetti" I grinned and nodded.

Today was a sunny day as I stopped by the kitchen poking my head in "Oh my lady Rossetti!" A maid exclaimed.
I stepped inside the kitchen playing with my fingers "what brings you here?" The maid asked "I-I want to get some cookies for grandpa" i muttered "Oh for the lord" the maid smiled "of course I'll be back in just a second" the maid smiled I recognised her she usually brought my snacks "thank you Mary!" I smiled "my pleasure" she said handing me a basket "well then I'll be going thank you again!" I opened the door rushing down the hall I reached grandpas office I had been there many times with mother and it was a lot of fun! Grandpa sometimes let me go on walks with him or eat dinner as well but he worked a lot.

The sounds of voices came from inside 'should I go in?' I thought I knocked on the door as the guards looked at me with a smile I came here often to the point I had learnt there names as well I waved "come in" grandfather called as I opened the door slightly "Rossetti!" Grandfather smiled and chuckled I could see teacher Clerivan sat across him he taught Giliou and Mayron business with big sister and big brother to bad I want aloud yet. "What brings you her today?" He asked "ah I brought you something to eat since grandfather's been working hard!" I said showing him the basket and placing it on the table "oh did you now" he smiled "what is Sir Clerivan doing here?" I asked "we're considering letting Tia join the Bussiness classes" Grandfather said "really! Can I go as well!" I asked looking at teacher with bright eyes "I won't cause a fuss but Giliou and Mayron get to learn all the good stuff while I'm still stuck learning empire history that I already know about" i muttered "hmmm" grandfather looked at me "we can give it a try" he looked at Clerivan "very well we may as well give Lady Rossetti a chance" Teacher said standing up a huge smile whisked across my face "really!?" "Yes I'll see you in my next class then" teacher said leaving "sit down why don't we have a chat Rossetti" grandfather nodded to the chair in front of him I reluctantly did sitting down as grandfather called the maids to get tea and cakes "so how have you been lately?" Grandfather asked I smiled swinging my feet back and forth since they were still short "good I've been hanging out with Larane a lot in the garden" I smiled taking a bite of the cake "how's your classes going?" Grandfather said "great! I practice my etiquette every day I enjoy it a lot I want to be like mum one day!" I grinned Grandfather chuckled "your already a lot like her" "really?" I asked "but people say I look a lot like my father" i muttered "indeed you look like your father but the way you act is like your mother" Grandfather pointed out "very elegantly" i smiled "great because I hope I'll be as elegant as mother when I grow up"  Grandfather chuckled "you sure will-" just then there was a knock at the door "come in" Grandfather said it was Uncle Viese he looked at me with a frown "Rossetti what are you doing here?" He asked "having tea with grandpa" I replied curtly I didn't like Uncle Viese he always ignored me but he wasn't bad most of the time he was busy yelling at everyone including mother and grandfather that's why I don't like him.

"We'll I need to speak to Father so beat it" He said "Viese you do not dismiss her until I say I'm finished" Grand father said glaring at him coldly Uncle flinched "it's ok grandfather it looks like uncle is impatient" i said putting my tea cup down "I'll leave now you must be busy next time let's go for a walk in the garden" I said "yes we'll do that" Grandfather nodded as I closed the door happily heading to the garden to admire the flowers of spring.
