Chapter 4

"That concludes todays class don't forget the assignment you have one week to complete it" Teacher said I got up stretching "we're going to the training ground" Mayron said waving goodbye I nodded watching them leave.

'First things first feed The birds!' I thought rushing to the kitchen the maids had probably been expecting me since I never missed a day "Hannah!" I smiled widely as she handed me the small leather brown bag of bread crumbs "thanks!" "No problems my lady" Hannah waved as I ran down the hall it was great to learn but also good to enjoy the morning sunshine wouldn't want to spend it cooped up in the library studying I could always borrow the book and study outdoors. But for now let's just enjoy it no homework thankfully since I finished it last night and teacher Diana had some problems come up so she couldn't come today! I reached the large tree looking around instantly the two white birds came down waiting at the branch for the food to be put on the floor. I smiled spreading the bread crumbs on the ground watching them instantly glide down elegantly a beginning to peck at the bread.

I rested near the tree 'should be anyyy minute now-' two ginger ears caught my eyes as the ginger and white cat made its way through the thin grass "your here" I said as the birds instantly flew off and the cat I named Caramel curled up on my lap I patted its head softly as the large tree provided shade from the hot sun.

'The project' I thought leaning my head back and looking at the leaves that rustled with the calm wind 'I can carve a small baby toy the one that hangs on the top of the crib and the baby just looks at it since Aunt Ronnece is expecting the baby anytime soon it would be nice if the baby was a girl but everyone hopes it's a boy' I sighed 'problem with my idea though where can I find someone to craft this lovely toy? Unless I craft it myself... which I'd probably mess up.' 

'Maybe one of the servants can help didn't miss Diana's husband have a hobby with crafting stuff? Maybe I should ask her yes I'll do that' I nodded my head it was the perfect plan I looked at Caramel who stood up and stretched on my lap before moving 'that's nap time over' I thought 'and I should get up as well that's my break time over' 

Standing up I dusted my dress off before walking back the sound of people chatting caught my attention grandfather's voice could be heard so I walked that way which was towards the front of the mansion "yes!" I heard uncle Gallahan's voice "Grabdfather?" I said poking my head out from behind a tree "Rossetti?" Uncle looked shocked "sorry I was on my way back from the garden when I heard voices" i muttered "ah that was just us talking about business" Teacher fixed his glasses Tia was in her fathers arms "what are you doing in the garden?" Grandfather asked "ah I was walking and thinking about the project and since I figured out what I needed I decided to head back" I smiled "ah I see" teacher nodded his head "Well you kids should go this is grown up business" Uncle Viese grumbled I hadn't even realised he was there "ah sorry uncle! I didn't see you I'm heading back now anyways almost lunch time" I said "yes and we should also head back since it's the end of discussion" grandfather glared at Uncle Viese who muttered something and stomped off  "we'll be going then dad" Uncle Gallahan waved "by Rossetti"  "Bye uncle bye Tia" I waved then turned to grandfather who smiled "why don't we eat lunch in the garden it's a nice day" he offered I smiled and nodded

The garden was blooming with different types of flowers as we sat at the gazebo "so how was the class?" Grandfather asked as we bang to eat "great! We were given a project to sell a lump of wood we can cut it chop it burn is as long as it sells" I explained "really? Do you know what your going to do?" Grandfather asked "I got a few ideas I just need to get started with it" I replied taking a bite of the steak "good then I'll look forward to you telling me next time" grandfather chuckled I nodded "Grandfather why is uncle Viese always grumpy?" I asked "I honestly don't know ether" Grandfather sighed just as he finished up his steak the butler came and whispered something in his ear and grandfather sighed again "I'll have to get going now" grandfather stood up "ok don't work to much grandpa!" I exclaimed he chuckled heartily "don't worry about me worry about that project of yours"

And I did the next day I got one of the servants to help me sketch out my idea it turned out great since Hannah was great  at drawing and when I had finished Miss Diana's class I of course asked for her help "I'll pay of course!" I quickly explained miss Diana was silent then she laughed "sure I'll ask my husband tonight you need just this right" she pointed at the sketch I handed her I nodded "ok no problem just have the wood sent over to the mansion" Miss Diana got up opening the door "I'll see you next time Lady Rossetti" she said walking the other way down the hall thank god Miss Diana agreed.

Not even two days passed when Miss Diana brought out the box with what I had requested in it. A huge smiled whisked across my face "thank you miss Diana!" I leaped up hugging her "no worries" she smiled patting my back I handed her the price her husband had asked for two silver and five bronze coins

(Ten bronze coins or shillings made one silver ten silver made one gold)

A good price for something like this I grabbed the box asking one of the butlers to help me as I reached Aunt Ronnece's room. Taking a deep breath and knocking on the door Auntie opened it not even five seconds later "Rossetti" she said she hadn't expected me Uncle Laurel next to her Uncle Laurel wasn't mean and always yelling he was kind actually just around Uncle Viese did he act clueless "what beings you here?" Aunt asked "I got a gift" I smiled as she let me in "a gift?" Uncle looked at me confused I nodded to the butler who set the box down "yup a gift for the baby"  "you didn't have to really" Aunt Ronnece said looking at the hanger with little bears and starts on it, it had been well painted the stars a shining yellow while the mini bears were different colours from red to purple  "i'm guessing this is something to do with the project" Uncle looked straight at me "Belsach was talking about it when he came to visit he wasn't happy" Uncle said  I nodded "then shall we pay you four silver it's good quality" Uncle handed me the money I looked at it and grinned "thanks uncle and congrats on the baby" "no problem Rossetti and thanks for the gift we hadn't gotten much stuff yet." I nodded "no problem it was the first thing that came to mind" I told him "I'll have to get going or I'll be late for etiquette classes with mother" waving goodbye and leaving the room I walked down the hall.

'I did it' I thought looking at the four silver in my hands 'I made money with a stump of wood' I caught sight of my twin brother up ahead they were chatting "hello" I said grabbing there arms "ack-" Gilliu jumped and Martin was taken aback "I got etiquette classes with mother so I'm heading in this direction" I told them "ah we're going to see dad" Mayron sighed "great then let's go together"

"Did you do the project?" I asked "we sold the wood to a servant and got paid should be fine" Gilliu shrugged "typical of you two" I rolled my eyes "I got it crafted into a baby hanger and sold it to uncle" "wow sounds like to much work" Mayron sighed "for you two it must be for me it's an accomplishment" i said we continued to walk and talk till going our separate ways.
