Irene’s POV:
We landed in Seoul after our world tour ended yesterday. We performed in North Korea, but what was waiting for us at the airport made me surprised.
A huge crowd of Paparazzi and people Tried to surround us, but our bodyguards were keeping them away from us.
As soon as we got into the car, I felt the sting in my hand intensify. The blood was flowing, and our manager quickly started treating my wound, but the pain was sharper than I’d expected.
Someone successfully sliced my hand.
I winced, trying to keep calm, but it hurt so much. I glanced at my members, and they looked back at me with such worry that it made my chest tighten.
Yeri’s tears started falling immediately as she cuddled into me, crying into my shoulder.
“Unnie, it’s bleeding so much,”
She sobbed, her small hands shaking as she held onto me. Seeing her cry made me want to break down, but I held it back. I had to. If I cried, they would all panic.
“I’m okay, Yeri-ah,”
I whispered, stroking her hair with my uninjured hand, trying to comfort her.
“It’s not as bad as it looks.”
But in truth, the cut was deep, and I wasn’t sure how bad it really was.
Seulgi, who was sitting beside me, looked furious. Her fists were clenched so tightly that her knuckles were turning white. She muttered under her breath,
“I swear if I ever see that fan again…”
She trailed off, biting back the rest of her words, but I could feel the anger radiating from her. Seulgi never got angry like this, and seeing her on edge made me worry even more.
“Seulgi, please,”
I said softly, trying to calm her down
“It’s okay. I’ll be fine. Don’t worry about it.”
“But how can I not worry, Unnie?”
Seulgi snapped, her voice trembling with frustration.
“That fan—he hurt you! They hurt you, and we couldn’t do anything to stop it!”
“I know,”
I said, feeling my throat tighten.
“But I’m really okay. I don’t want any of you to worry about me.”
The car stopped at our condominium. As we got out, I heard the groans of frustration from my members and staff. The entrance was packed with people again, and as we got closer, I heard them chanting things about our performance in North Korea. My heart sank. We just got attacked, and now this?
The guards moved quickly to cover us as we stepped out of the car. Suddenly, objects started flying in our direction—bottles, cans, things I couldn’t even identify. Panic surged through me as I instinctively grabbed onto Seulgi’s arm. My members clustered together, all of us feeling suffocated by the chaos. People were shouting, pushing, shoving. I clung to my members, trying to shield them, but I could feel my own fear rising.
By the time we finally got inside, I felt like I couldn’t breathe. We collapsed into the lounge area, all of us shaken.
"All of you okay?"
Rosé, one of the managers along with Jihyo, asked as they checked us.
"I think you guys should stay inside In the meantime, we will take care of your daily essentials. Your safety is important."
