A few days passed, and Irene was starting to get suffocate, so she decided to go outside today as she called Lisa.

Lisa picked up; she had Irene's number.

Irene told her that she wanted to go out tonight as she was suffocating, and Lisa immediately told her that she would accompany her.

Irene was happy that she got to spend time with Lisa,

'Alone'

And that was the same situation with Lisa, Lisa even looked herself in the mirror for more than one time while getting ready.

They met outside the condo. Lisa was already there waiting. Irene stepped out, her breath catching for a moment at the sight of Lisa, who was leaning casually against the wall, her posture exuding a quiet strength. When their eyes met, Irene's heart skipped a beat, but she masked it with a calm smile.

"Hey, you,"

Irene greeted softly.

Lisa gave a nod, her usual smile stretching across her face.

"Hi,"

She replied, with a gentle voice.

Inside the elevator, Lisa fished a mask from her pocket and handed it to Irene, Lisa then placed a cap on Irene’s head, tugging her hair gently behind her ears unconsciously.

Irene froze at the unexpected closeness, her breath hitching as their eyes locked. Lisa’s eyes were soft yet focused, and the moment stretched between them, almost electric.

Realizing what she’d done, Lisa quickly withdrew her hand, awkwardly rubbing the back of her neck.

"S-Sorry,"

She stammered, her eyes dropping to the floor.

Irene was still in a daze, feeling her heart flutter. She didn’t respond, and in the silence, Lisa’s mind raced.

Shit, I oversteped.

Lisa scolded herself silently, her anxiety creeping in.

I shouldn’t have done that.

As they reached the parking lot, Lisa, for the first time in her life, regretted having color blindness as she couldn't drive Irene to her destination.

Lisa turned to Irene and said in a soft voice,

“I… I can’t drive.”

Her voice was barely above a whisper, and it was the first time Irene saw Lisa look so unsure.

Irene chuckled, and the sound seemed to ease the tension.

"That’s okay,"

She said, glancing at Lisa with a small smile.

"I’ll drive us."

There was a warmth in Irene’s voice, and for a brief moment, Lisa’s heart lifted. She nodded, mumbling a quiet

"Thanks"

As she settled into the passenger seat.

As they pulled up to a fancy restaurant, Irene parked and stepped out confidently, but Lisa lingered outside for a moment, her phone pressed to her ear as she took a call checking the security.

She ended the call and stood at the door.

“Lisa, are you coming or not?”

Irene asked.

"I am on duty, Irene."

Lisa answered.

When Lisa declined to join her, Irene’s eyes narrowed in irritation.
