The day faded away and was quickly replaced by the beginning glimmers of night. It was fast and unexpected, not to dissimilar to the words Four had spoken to you. You hadn't been able to get them out of your head all day; how could you? You had assumed that everything was going so well, but now... it felt like you'd taken it all wrong. You thought you knew Four from watching BFB, but it was becoming clear to you now that there was much more to them, just beneath the surface.

You couldn't help but wonder, though: why? Why had they hung around you for so long? And sought you out of their own accord? What was the reason for any of that if, truly, they didn't want to be near you? These unanswered questions raced around your tired head as you sat behind the tree you had grown accustomed to sleeping against. You did this with the intention of not having to interact with anyone. You didn't want someone to see you like... this. Your tears had long since dried up, but the dull, aching pain in your chest was still there. And it lingered, like the chill wind that replaced the mild breeze that was prominent midday.

Your confusion around Four's words wasn't the only thing bothering you, however. The numbers you had been dreaming about were back and they were even smaller this time: 553. You still had no clue what the decreasing numbers meant, or why you kept dreaming about them. But, at the moment, it only served to fuel your upset. All these thoughts swarming around your mind made your head hurt. You sniffled and rubbed your eyes, going to lean back against the tree, but instead swiftly sitting up and turning around when you heard a rustling from behind you.

Flower stood tall above you, hand on the side of the tree as she looked down at you with a grin.

"(O/N), there you are! I've been looking for you all day. And night, now."
"I made Bubble and Ruby look for you, too. Thinking back, I probably should've looked here first, huh..."

In the distance, you heard what sounded like a back and forth between who was likely Bubble and Ruby.

"Did you check underground, Bubble? They're probably down there."

"Uhm, no-"

Flower directed her attention from the far off pair back to you, waving her hand dismissively.

"Eh, they'll be fine."

Leaving her current spot, she moved to sit next to you on the ground.

"So, what've you been doing here all day?"

You looked silently from her to the ground, pulling your legs up and hugging them to your chest a little.

"Hey-?"
"Are you okay?"

Flower looked for an answer from the quiet you for a little longer before sighing and leaning back against the tree. The wood creaked a bit as she stretched, in a relaxed manner, before crossing one of her legs over the other.

"This is about Four, isn't it?"

You raised your face to hers in shock, finally meeting her eyes.

"How did you-?"

"I spoke to them before they went *rushing* over to you earlier today."
"I was trying to tell them not to wake you up, but that stubborn number doesn't ever listen!"
"They couldn't wait to tell you whatever thing they were trying to tell you."

You grew quiet again as you broke the eye contact you'd only shared for a few moments. Recalling what it was that Four had told you made you begin to feel down again. Flower studied your reaction before slowly speaking again.

"...It wasn't good, was it?"

You closed your eyes and gently shook your head "no". Flower, in response, crossed her arms and huffed loudly.
