A Rose Between the Thorns

Chapter 3

Later that night Vanessa, Noelle and Charmy showed me to my new room, it was perfect, thankfully only the bottom corner of the window was broken so there wasn't to much of a draft, and other than that the room was spotless.

It didn't take me long to pass out after the day I had, Finral really could work someone to the bone, or I guess in this case the end of their mana. 

The next day when I woke I noticed the sun was already up and I guessed everyone else would be to. Flipping over the cover of my bed I noticed a pile of clothes on my desk with a note on top.

For Rose, found these yesterday and thought they'd be perfect for you. Vanessa.

I unfolded the clothes to find a white blouse with slightly puffed sleeves that ended just past my elbow, a navy blue corset over top, a pair of navy blue pants and back overskirt, along with a brown belt, grimoire bag and black lace up boots. Aww Vanessa really went all out for me, I need to remember to thank her later.

Once I was dressed and my Black Bulls robe was on and my grimoire in it's side bag I left my room heading for the dinning area knowing everyone would be having breakfast. When I arrived I noticed Noelle, Asta and Yami were stood talking. "Look who's finally up, you'll be joining these two to give their report for the dungeon. It'll let you see the capital and the castle town."

If I go with them that means I get to meet Yuno, along with Klaus and Mimosa. It was a done deal. "I'd love to go, thanks Captain." Finral was getting up to open a portal to the castle town, but before I could walk over Charmy stopped me, handing me a muffin as a breakfast to go. I thanked her and then soon the three of us were off for the castle town.

When we arrived I noticed it somehow looked even nicer then the area of the capital we were in yesterday, but I was soon shaken out of my admiring when Asta's booming voice reached my ears. "Wow this is awesome, I mean I knew it was big but up close it's huge." I chuckled at his excitement as I knew what he meant, it was incredible I couldn't stop gawking as Noelle began to berate Asta for being to loud, but I knew what she was really thinking.

Up ahead I saw some people, but when I looked closer I knew they weren't just any one. I finally get to meet them. A smile broke out onto my lips but I didn't care Noelle was too busy focusing on Asta and then noticing the others, to notice me.

Asta began shouting to gain there attention and soon the six of us met up, it was so cute to watch how Klaus was checking up on Asta, he really was a mother hen. It took a minute or two of walking and the others getting distracted until someone finally noticed me. "Who are you?" It was Yuno.

We stopped as we had gotten close to the castle and I began to introduce myself to the three. "My name's Rose and I'm the newest member of the Black Bulls." Mimosa offered me as smile as a welcome whilst Yuno and Klaus stared for a moment, what did I expect. "The newest member?" Klaus said as he adjusted his glasses. "It's a bit of a long story but I'll tell you later if you want." The three of them nodded and I was happy to see they were interested, I loved Mimosa for how kind and caring she was, Klaus was just a nice person to be around who secretly cared for those he knew and Yuno was one of the ones I had always wanted to protect when I watched the show.

"Knights headquarters aught to be just through here." Klaus spoke as he lead the way once more. Asta mentioned Klaus' nickname four eyes and now that I'm here I have to say it does kind of suite Klaus, it's good that he doesn't mind any more. Suddenly we all stopped and I ended up walking into Noelle's back.

I was re-balancing myself as her slightly shorter hight threw me off, when I noticed something, or should I say someone up ahead. There standing right in front of us was Julius Novachrono, I can't believe it THE Julius, I had to clutch onto Noelle's shoulder for support.
