Part 3

Lucy and Tim leave Tim's house to go to work
Ok, the way there the drive is silent before they turn into the station's parking lot.
As they hop out they walk inside not saying a word and going into the locker room to change.
Angela whispers over to Nyla as Lucy and Tim part ways to the locker rooms
Angela: I guess our plan worked, they aren't fighting
Nyla: yep, we did it
Tim and Lucy come out of the locker rooms and head straight to roll call
Lucy sits with Nolan and Tim sits with Jan
Grey: Alright, settle down, settle down.
Bradford and Chen I see you aren't arguing, I guess our plan worked
They both slightly roll their eyes and he goes back to roll call
Grey: alright I'm going to have Bradford and Chen together, Thorsen and Nolan, Juarez, the detectives need help on a case so you'll be with them today.
Bradford and Chen, I'm assigning you to a homicide from the night shift, Nolan and Thorsen I'm assigning you to the bank robbery investigation from yesterday, that's it, be safe out there.
They head out of roll call and without saying a word Lucy goes to get the war bags and puts them in the shop as Tim gets in the driver's side.
They stay quiet for a while until a call comes through the radio about a silent alarm at a bank going off as a possible robbery.

They head to the bank to find out a clerk accidentally clicked it. As lunch rolled around they went to their usual food trucks and Lucy sat with Nolan, Celina, and Aaron. Tim sat with Nyla and Angela.
Angela: hows it going with Lucy
Tim: she's tolerable so far, she had a nightmare about Caleb last night though
Angela: did you help her?!
Tim: yes Angela, I helped her. I'm not a monster
Angela: ooo what did you do?😏
Tim: I just gave her a hug to calm her down, chill.
Nyla: Bradford hugging people?
Tim: I couldn't just leave her there that's cruel!
Nyla: okay, he's right Angela. Lets just drop it...for now
Tim rolls his eyes and they finish their lunch
Lucy and Tim go back on patrol on a few minor calls, still not talking besides talking with other officers, and answering calls.
They spend the rest of their shift finishing paperwork as Lucy goes into Tims office.
Lucy: are you ready to go?
Tim: hold on Chen, don't rush me.
Lucy: jeez.
Tim: what did you say?
Lucy: Nothing. She turns her head
He finishes his paperwork and walks out of the station to see Lucy leaning on his truck, waiting for him
Tim: Chen stop leaning on my truck
She gets off
Lucy: finally, took you long enough grandpa.

Tim: I am not a grandpa
Lucy: mhm
She gets in the truck and they drive back to Tims house.
Lucy quickly greets Kojo and walks to her room and shuts the door.
Tim watches TV for a while before heading to bed himself.
He quickly falls asleep as Lucy is still sitting up in her room, zoned out lost in her thoughts.
After a while she regains attention and falls asleep.

Tim wakes up around 2 am and goes intit he kitchen for a glass of water before heading back to his room.
He goes past Lucy's room to hear noises coming from her room, he knocks and she doesn't answer. He knows she is having another nightmare
He opens the door to see Lucy in a ball in her bed rocking back and forth with tears streaming down her face
He quickly wrosnher in his arms and tells her its okay, but she doesn't calm down, he lays down in her bed and lays her onto his chest
He quickly slows down her breathing, listening to his heartbeat. She looks up at him and starts crying her eyes out
He wraps her in a warm embrace as she sobs into his shirt
He constantly tells her its okay and as she lifts her head she looks at him, with tears in her eyes.
Tim: Do you want to lay down with me, would it make you feel better?
She nods as he picks her up and carries her into his room and lays her down on one side of his bed.
He gets into the other side as Lucy buries her head into his neck
Tims thoughts: I'm shocked but dont do anything because she is comfortable, and it actually feels kinda nice.
Wait Tim. No.
She is your enemy, no.
^out of his thoughts^
He carefully wraps his arm around her and they fall asleep next to each other, Lucy is comfortable with Tum next to her, she feels safe with him.
